Has anyone noticed that the original uppercut was not in this game. That was the trademark move of the entire MK franchise. i think that they should bring back the standard uppercut so that it is the same button combo for every character.

My opinion is that if the fighting style the character is using is supposed to have an uppercut move, then they should have that uppercut move. There were uppercut moves in MKDA.

Didn't he have an uppercut move in his Dragon style as well?

That standard game play is old and out of date. I'm glad that MK has turned away from that. Now players have to learn a little something and not press (down+HP) all the damn time.

I agree totally.
Along time ago, back in like 98/99 I think, when Boon said we can throw everything we know about MK out the window, he wasn't kidding, and I'm glad they took the approach they did.
I am extremely glad they didn't put a standardized uppercut for every character with the same button combination, as it would have reminded me of that old, simple and so outdated gameplay.
So I am that they laid the idea of standardizing the characters (or at least to the point that they all have the same thing) to rest in DA, and I hope that it will remain that way for MK6.
In other words, NO
