People got really desperate and paranoid wasting hours upon hours to no avail. I would love to believe that there are in fact other unlockable character(s), but we might as well get used to accepting that the so called "Super Unlockable" Boon was always talking about was probably Liu Kang.

It is possible. And that would be something very difficult to discover.
I think we will see as secret characters:
Quan Chi
Sonya
Mavado
Kitana
Sektor
Sareena
And maybe Shang Tsung or Johnny Cage.

IMO
Shang Tsung, Quan Chi and Johnny Cage ARE going to be playable because of the fact that the game acknowledges them there as fighting characters, same with Ghost and Monster.
