I just recently read DC is doing a Gears of War comic. This leads me to believe that this is an attempt by DC to boost themselves up getting ready for upcoming DC comic book movies. Seeing as how Gears of war is tied to this MK game it just can't be ignored that this is DC comics doing.

This was marketing's idea pitch to Midway to contact DC and the rest is history...simple really

look I know your trying to be cute with the tinfoil hat 9/11 reference but listen. Boone said himself in the interview it wasnt his or the teams idea. Folks in the marketing department new folks at DC. This idea was presented TO Boone. Not from him. as for the post above im not stating its "BAD" thing. I'm simply looking at the business side of this. This without a doubt a marketing gimmick. Not a ground up MK game with the idea orignating from the mk dev team. I just thought it was interesting that DC is planning a Gears of War (Unreal 3 engine based game) comic AND we are getting this MK8 (Unreal 3 engine based game) MK vs DCU.
