Kenshi (being my fav in mkda) worried me this time with his weaker combos and his (to me) lack of newness. then I saw this Hara Kiri! tho some may think its the worst one in the game due to its simpleness (cuts open his own stomach) those of us that know WHAT he is doing should love the move! I have been saying the whole time I have known about hara kiris that i wanted to see a seppuku! 3 cheers for the mk team!

Seppuku: The ritualized suicide committed by samurai. Also known as harakiri, it involves cutting one's belly open.

If only the opponent had stood behind him wth a sword...then, it would be authentic.

It would have been good if he cut his stomach open... like the real ones... but he just rubs the sword against his kidney a little!!! That's what sucked about it for me... not the idea... I like the idea itself... they just made it look dumb...

My firend louies japanese. He told me they stabbed themselves in the stomache with a short sword wrapped in cloth to soak up the blood and slashed outward, then someone would cut there head off. I think kenshis is different because it would be damn near impossible to stab yourself with a katana.

Yeah, I was thoroughly impressed when I saw this Hara Kiri. It was a valiant effort, despite how weird it looked. Just for the record, the second man only chopped off the samurai's head if the samurai killing himself backed out of the ceremony or showed cowardice during it.
