That's a prety good idea. Or maybe each character could have two unlockable styles: one hand-to-hand, one weapon. Just think of the style branch possibility with FIVE styles!

I would like to see interactive weapons in the environment. Remember the armory stage in MK 3, imagine that, but all the battle axes and swords can be taken and fought with. But the unlockable weapons sounds like a good Idea.

Absolutely, great idea. Ofcourse, one gets a particular specialized weapon to start the tournament and is also aware of the better weapons that he might be able to unlock. That will add a bit more excitement in each round. But how can one carry the weapon of the fighter one kills to the next round. I mean if i beat scorpion at round one I get his sword. In round two if I beat say jax i get maybe a mace. Now how can the player be allowed to carry three weapons or more at once. Please explain a bit more. Thank you all.

or for the second weapon u would just have an enhanced version of the one u alredy hav, for example kitana second weapon , each fan would hav three sections of razor sharp blades, and instead of throwing her entire fan at u , the spikes shoot out at u , when she gets to he last set of blades she would just jam them in u. it would be cool

Well, it could give you the option to take it or just leave it, but at the end of the 2nd (or 3rd if necesary), not at the end of the first round.
