I was thinking about this for a couple days.....
What if you could turn Chess Kombat into a 5 on 5 team-battle?
Here's the idea...
Both sides gather 4 of their friends
Each member of the team plays as one of the piece-types
The Leader-player also controls the movement of pieces on the board
Once a battle is engaged, the controllers are passed to the players playing those pieces
If all of a piece-type are killed, the player is kicked out of the competition
Continue until one of the leaders is eliminated...
....what do you guys think?....cool or too weird?....
