I have not seen this news posted anywhere, so I will post them here. All credit goes to the awesome MK Spanish site: http://www.mortal-kombat.org/
“This is what the Article of Game Informer says”:
-Mk Shaolin Monks will be available in September 2005 for PS2 and XBOX.
-Its an ADVENTURE/ACCION game NOT a Fighting game.
-Its going to be based around the time of MKII.
-There will be hidden characters such as Smoke and Ermac.
-Its very probable that 2 players will play at the same time against the machine.
-The bosses of each stage will be known Mk warriors.
-The character you control will have 10 FATALITIES that you will be able to use against the bosses. Expect to see BRUTALITIES, TEAM FATALITIES that you will do with your partner, and MORE FINISHERS.
-The scenarios will be very interactive like the ones of MKDeception.
-There will be NEW versions of the “Living Forest” and “Dead Pool”.

Go, go Liu and Lao! lol. Awesome. Can't wait for it. Liu's deserved an adventure game for awhile, now. eh... no comment on Kung Lao, though.

Two players eh? They're probably gonna do the same thing as they did with Special Forces: Scrap Kung Lao, make it a one player game, so you may only play as Liu Kang,

Hmmm well hopefully it is better than Konquest mode, Mythologies, and Special Forces.

I would have prefer a game like: Mortal kombat: Shao Khan rise to power... the Shaolin warrior were never as cool IMO, I don't expect MKSM to be as fun as MKD that's for sure, it will be a good rent

I'm thinking it's not a fighting genre game is what it means man! I imagine it'd be more like a third person RPG or action adventure! See? there'll be fighting in it, but it wont be in the usual style!
