I am going to go with chess. I enjoy the puzzle but puzzle fighter is still better IMO.

I like puzzle because its a break from normal MK fighting and its fun to do with your friends and not be accused of being cheap . to me chess is just making fights with restricted life. it can be fun but puzzle is more fun to me

Puzzle. Cause its different. Chess is just like a MK fighting Tournament, not much different than the regular kombat..

Puzzle all the way. I like Tetris, but this is like Tetris on steroids with little chibi (SD) MK characters and cute little fatalities. Quite trippy. What more could I aske for? (didn't play anything online yet)

Puzzle. Chess kinda ended up being a disappointment for me.

Chess, and I hate regular chess with a passion. I suck at puzzle games, so that's out of the question. And I don't play anything online, so that answers that one.

I'm not sure if I can play Deception online because I'm at college, so it's only Arcade and Versus mode for me.
I'd have to go with Puzzle on this one. I love the Chibi MK Fighters (Jade is so cute.. hehe) and it's a good break from normal MK. I remember scoring a decent 64 combo against a friend of mine once.. it was pretty fun. Chess is pretty fun, but once you acquire both power seals, it's a joke.

I think that its boring facing the computer in both. So i like online better unless im playing with sum1 else. And i cant really choose between the 2. It just depends on what kind of mood im in They r both really fun

I prefer puzzle and online. I'm pissed that gamespy already had to reset the server and ranks, I was 9th online in puzzle.

Even though I don't have the game yet (have to wait til Nov. 21st ), I would say that I prefer Chess Kombat more

I havent tried online yet, but Puzzle is waaaaay better than Chess. Chess mode is boring and stupid. It's a sad, sorry attempt at making a fun game.

I've always hated Tetris. So when I first saw Puzzle Mode, I decided to try it out to see how it is. I found out that I was really good in it. I beat my sister, uncle, and aunt in it. Then I got an online adaptor two days ago and played Mortal Kombat online to see if there are any challenging players for me to face in Puzzle Mode. But...no. I've never lost once in my life in Puzzle Mode. No one can beat me in it. So if anyone wants to face me in Puzzle Mode, my name is BAKURA. Chess is fun but it just takes too long and it's basically kombat anyways. Plus, you'll eventually get a message saying "Connection inadequite" or something like that.

Chess. Puzzle is addictive, but Chess is more fun.
