Unfortunately, the content makes everyone want to play more. That's sort of sad, really. I prefer gameplay. Always have, always will. Because, well, a fighting game IS (supposed to be anyway) gameplay.

The content does. I mean the more content there is, the more there is to do. Puzzle and Chess Kombat would a huge replayability value to Mortal Kombat: Deception.

Gameplay is most important

For me, both matter. But content matters to most people. As Dmitch said, the more there is the more there is to do.

I like to have a lot to do, but it should have good gameplay throughout to ensure that I actually want to play through it all.

Gameplay all the way, the content is usually to get extra stuff in a fighting game.
If the gameplay is welldone, fun and it makes you want to improve yours skills. Then, you'll be back for more. I Remember MK2. It was fun! So if it succeed that way, imagine the multiplayer.

Gameplay of course for me.

Gameplay. I could care less about the content and crap like that. The only thing that I even bought out of the Krypt, in DA, were the characters. the rest of the stuff is grabage.

Both are important to me. It's fun to unlock stuff in the Krypt (even if most of it is Krap). But you wanna have fun getting there, and that equals gameplay.

I know I'd rather enjoy playing a good game than having a load of random extras any day.
