I was wondering, how do you pick up the weapons in arenas (for example, Raiden's war hammer in the Sky Temple) while you're fighting and/or doing a fatality in MK:A?

I was versing this guy online and he picked up the war hammer in the middle of the fight.

So how do you do it?
