Wouldn't it be cool during the fight as you are fighting that your clothes start to tear with each powerful blows(espeically weapons) and reveal what is underneath it(tattoos, scars, skin, etc.) and it stays like that until you finish the fight.Do you think this is a good idea or not? Post your thoughts.

That will be cool it would be awesome to see while your fighting your clothes start to rip off.Im pretty sure Deception will have that.

Maybe, but wouldn't it be cool to see ripped up clothes instead of the same perfect clothes everytime you cut your opponent with a slash of a Broadsword?

I think if they add the wear and tear and the cuts and bruises,it would add to the reality of the game and makes it seem real.So what do you guys and gals think?I think there are a lot of people at E3 that there are not alot posts.*sighs and wishes he was at E3.*
Wow... if you watched the video "Making of Deadly Alliance", you see that they use Photoshop (I BELIVE 7.0... but I could be wrong). Do you people realise how difficult it would be to do bodies and clothes, too? They made three "masks" for each character (i.e. their face with a few blemishes, pretty banged up, and post autocide), for EACH character... For them to do what you guys are asking would take... let's do some math... 3 more "masks" per limb. 3 masks... times... 4 limbs.... 24 characters... carry the two... times the cosine of... at LEAST 834 "masks".... which is just for the limbs alone, and you guys would like COSTUMES as well.... that math is just too high for me to do right now. Trust me, from someone who uses Photoshop religiously.... it takes a great deal of time to do exceptionally well...
Still, though, it would be pretty cool...
...and "gals"? Is there a single female HERE? Wait... let me rephrase that... is there a single female Mortal Kombat fan in GENERAL?

That was pretty fast.
My girlfriend's a Mortal Kombat fan, albeit only because of me.
On topic, it would be cool, but it would not be easy and probably not worth it.
I mean, based on the reactions I see of a lot the fans so far it doesn't matter what they do, it's not good enough. So why would they bust their asses to do something that won't even be appreciated?

While this could turn out like those Battle Scar He-Man Dolls, I think it has potential. i think blood should stay.
I'm happy to note that in the video, slashes to the face with Ashrah's Kriss caused Hotaru to grab his face. Hopefully, they'll expand on this idea... and make marks to go with it.

This was one of questions I asked at E3. And some of the Staff said they were thinking of doing body damage. I hope they have time, but it would be hard to do. And it would take alot of time to put it all in. Time will tell,if not this game maybe the next.

(LadyRaiden raises her hand in response the the question regarding female MK fans.)
I've been playing MK since it first came out and I have been a die hard Rayden fan throughout all of the games. I was upset when he was set aside the MK3/UMK3 and when it seemed he would be replaced by Fujin at the end of MK4. True I didn't get much of a chance to play MKII since I was working two jobs and going to school at the time, but I am planning to make up for it when the Midway Treasures (2, I believe) comes out.
Has for creating 'wear and tear' I can only image out much much that would be. I'm just now starting to do a little artwork on my PC and most is just ripping off other people and altering right now. If they do include it, I will be appreciated by this 'Fangirl.'

It's interesting, not so long ago I went to a second hand cd/video game store and noticed a fighting game, mainly because of its front cover. Unfortunately I cannot remember the name of the game, but, I read on the back "from the makers of Mortal Kombat" and also it stated that characters got wear and tear throughout the fights.
Its not an old game but I don't think it became popular at all...
But I think this is good evidence that wear and tear may be a part of MK:D, and I have a feeling they are still working on it.
By any chance does anyone know what the name of this game is?

They wanted to use wear and tear in MKDA but unfortunate it didnt make it into the game. I actually have a magazine with a screen of MKD where Hotaru and Ermac are fighting, and if you look closely you can see that his flags are cut off for a part while in other screens his flags are complete. So I think there is a good chance we will see wear and tear in MKD.
