I think they will play a smaller role this time. They wont be playable i think. There will be an intro movie probably explaining what happened to both of them after DEADLY ALLIANCE. I doubt they will be playable. I hope they are not.

hmmmmmmm. ive always thought that the DA would be playable but now im not so sure. thats y im only 90% sure they will be playable.

I think Shang Tsung could sit another game out, and that goes for Quan Chi as well.

If Quan Chi is not in the game, unless they have a very good reason, the MK team made a big mistake

Well the author RSK1980 wrote an explanation about killing off characters that i totally agreed to. I dont know if you read it but here it goes.

Seriously, I don't understand how people can say that. Recently, it seems everyone has it out for Kitana and I just don't understand where it comes from.

In regards to Sonya, Scorpion, Johnny Cage, Sub-Zero, etc .. Sub-Zero is really the only one that I remember changing somewhat.

Scorpion is always neutral and escaping from hell for one reason or another. Sonya is always trying to Kill a red dragon member. (Kano, Jarek, etc). Johnny Cage .. UGH .. won't even go there.

With all that said .. I still am glad to see Scorpion, Sonya, Sub-Zero, Raiden, etc. all return because I still think they bring something to the game after all the time they have been a part of it. It's like playing street fighter with No Ryu, Ken, or Chun-Li. Even though their stories haven't changed nearly at ALL!

On a final note with Kitana .. even when she hasn't been in a game .. she ALWAYS has been a part of the story! So to those who say her story sucks, I think you need to recheck the history of MK. She has added more depth and helped to create more characters than any other MK character in the series. "

I don't wanna say they're both dead, but I do think at least one of them gets killed at the end of DA.

I hope Quan Chi is in the game and Shang Tsung dies a painful, horrible death.

i dont think eirther one of them died at the end but i think that in the intro quan chi will kill shang tsung or later in the story in deception they will turn on each other and try to kill each other.

Quan Chi kill off all those characters? Quan Chi is no match for Rayden that's for sure

As for who should return I believe that Quan Chi will make a return
