we dont know if that gets carried over..if it does..he will probably come back as a powerful higher being type of thing..like the fates wouldn't let him die because he serves a greater destiny in mortal kombat than limbo..or whereever he went

Well Scorpion was thrown into the soulnado, and it stated that his hellspawn body was ripped apart... ya know the drill. Anyways, it never said that was killed all it said was that the body his soul had been appointed had been destroyed. I think everyone in this community will agree with me when I say that there's no doubt that Scorp will be in MK6 although his form remains a mystery.

well, as i think, that if scorpion is going to be in mk6, quan chi will aswell, because as long as quan chi lives, so will scorpion, so like he said he will come in a new form, so in mk6, i would think quan chi will be in there, because ed boon knows that if the mk fans dont have no scorpion, they dont want no mk, though i will still play it cuz i like noob, but i like his idea on scorpion

Well perhaps his body was destroyed and his soul was placed in a new body. I would like for him to be reborn as a new character but if that were to happen, he shouldn't have his spear, otherwise, people will know that it's really him.

I really wanna know why people keep drawing this conclusion that Quan Chi and Scoprion are impartable and imperative for each other. NO offense, but scorpion has lived in mk before Quan chi, and will live after Quan Chi. In my oppion Quan Chi's presence has been exhausted as a meaningful character. Also Scorpion will most likley stay because Boon likes him, not because of the fan base. The fan base does play a large role, but he was extreamly popular in mk II and was not carried over into mk3. Granted he wasin UMK3 which was intended to be the "real" version of mk3, but still, you never know.

As for the ending, His body was probbly destroyed because like it said, the realm his extreamly pure, and thus humanly creations cannont exsist in that realm. IM guessing either his soul will remain their, or be departed back to the netherealm, in which he will just return as scorpion. Don't forget folks, scorpion is from hell (after his death on earth), he can never truley be killed, only his human form can be destroyed.

um, quan hci was always in mk, because in mkm:s-z quan chi is in it meaning he was part of it but never entered til 4 meaning quan chi was always there and so was scorpion, just think about it for a while

Ugh god if we were to base it on the story line, you're right. But, You're still not getting it.
That story line wasn't even altered til years later. I'm talking about from the moment they made Mortal Kombat, they probably hadn't even had the thought of Quan Chi.

The very first time they had Made Mortal Kombat, even 1 and 2, there was nothin mentioned about Shinnok or map of the elements or even the amulet. So no, Quan Chi hasn't been around as long as Scorpion or anyone else in the first game.

Iceninja knows where im comming from. In chronological order of games, Quan Chi did not exsists before MKM, in real life, thus it proves scorpion can live without quan chi, and if you really think about it, they should do to Scorpion and Quan Chi, what they did to Sub-Zero and Scorpion. After a couple games it's good to end a little rivalry in some instances, to keep the flow of the game moving.

um, i do not think ed boon meant for the story line to go from when the games come out, see heres whatis, mkt and mkg and mk:te are just sequels to 1/2/3 4 and da, there just the previous games with more characters, the way with the story is in this order.

1st)mkm:s-z/mk:sf
2nd)mk1
3rd)mk2
4th)mk3
5th)mk4
6th)mk:da

there is how it is according in story wise, since quan chi was in mkm:s-z which happened BEFORE the FIRST TOURNAMENT, he was always in mortal kombat but he had never entered until 4, and if you say that because he did not entered so he is not in the game, your wrong, cuz heres someone in mortal kombat who is there but never entered, THE ELDER GODS

From a story line point, YES HE WAS.

BUT IN ACTUAL, REAL LIFE, CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER, NO! Quan Chi in all reality HAS NOT been around since Scorpion or any else in MK1 and 2. It is simple fact. No matter how many times people want to come on here and say "But but but, MK-M prooves he was in the story line so he has actually been there since the beginning." Ahh shut up!

MK-M came out way after Mk1: plain and simple.

I wouldn't worry about Scorpion, I'm sure he will live. Doesn't Scorpion's MK1 Story say he has a son? His son could enter the tournament to avenge his father's death by trying to kill Sub-Zero. I know, I know, it is still not Scorpion. Scorpion's son could have they same powers (minus the flaming skull) and it it is the spear move you are worried about then they should bring back HUMAN SMOKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
