I really don't know, but I would never ever specifically unlock them in any particular order in order to get the best stuff first. I'll be playing this game like I did with DA.
I just play the game for about an hour or so to rack up a fair stock of Koins, then periodically I go to the Krypt and buy whatever I can afford. Eventually, the cheaper koffins become rare so I carry on playing until I can afford them.
This way I never know what I'm gonna get (since I won't be checking Krypt FAQs to find out). The better unlockables will probably stay locked until I have most of the other koffins cleared because they're generally more expensive - so returning the the Krypt remains a thrill.
My point of view is that if you try to unlock the 'better' koffins first then you'll take forever to unlock about 10 koffins and the other 390 will still be there... you'd know they're not as good so unlocking wouldn't be as much fun.
I also think that when the Koffins start to get harder to unlock, it's a good time to play the Konquest game to keep the unlockables rolling in.
But each to their own I suppose!

Tanya, then Jade. Then there alts, unless Jade's is that nasty amazon outfit they always show her in. If that's the case just Tanya's alt, then whatever else in whatever order. Just Tanya first and foremost :)

(shakes head) Poor poor kid with a Sektor fetish. Don't worry, they might put him in another game (pats you on the head). Na man, I doubt he'll be in this game. I know that he most likely ain't in this game (meaning about an 90% chance), so whatever. They'd probably change him into a human anyway for some random reason, which would suck. Back to topic though, I'd probably unlock the cheapest character first. After that, another costume, another stage, another costume, another character if I got the money, and so on. I'd probably play the game enough first, get up to Noob-Smoke, then start over again so I can get some more coins, probably enough to unlock at least SOMETHING from the Krypt. I dunno, I think I'm getting rid of my idea to go through Konquest first.

It took me a year to unlock everything in MK:DA, I think i'll just use a CodeBreaker to unlock everything right off the bat this time around, lol.
I'm going to unlock Noob-Smoke first. Then 'm going to unlock Havik, Then Jade, Then Hotaru and finally Raiden. Then i'm gonna start unlocking alternate costumes before i go on to start unlocking stages. Then i'll unlock the rest of the characters.
After i get the satisfacation of doing all of that, I'll just maybe use the CodeBreaker to unlock everything else.

finish Konquest mode first and see what i can unlock from there. If there are characters that require me to finish Arcade mode before i can unlock them, i'll finish Konquest first then go straight to Arcade. Save the best for last i always say. Like how i unlocked all of my DJ:FFNY characters first before i actually started Battle mode.

I plan to unlock a good amount of characters right at the start, then go for levels and alternate costumes. I'll also start Konquest almost immediately, which I'd probably have to do anyway to obtain everything I intended to in the first place.
It'll all work out.
