What do think of OUTFIT specific special moves?

I was thinkin about an idea that could be cool to see in MKD or a future MK. What it is is that your fighter would have different special moves depending on what outfit you start the game with.
Here are some examples I thought would have worked in past MK games:
Scorpion's MK4 flame breath with his MKDA Alt outfit. Since he had the flaming skull as an outfit I thought it would be cool if he could ONLY do his old flame breath move in that outfit.
Noob Saibot in MKD. Well we know Noob used to be a shadow fighter, but one of his outfits in Deception makes him look human. Then perhaps he could have 'shadow moves' in the outfit where he is completely black, and human-like special moves when he is in his 'skin' clothes.
Kenshi MKDA or MKD. Since Kenshi is relatively new to using telekinetic powers they would obviously not be a strong as Ermac's. So I thought that when he is wearing his MKDA default costume, his powers would be enhanced. So his TK push or TK toss would knock the enemy further, and his slam would take off more damage as they hit the ground harder.
Kung Lao. Maybe he could only wear his hat two outfits, and the third he has a different set of moves not using the hat. Outfit could be used as a handicap.
Sub Zero's medallion. In two outfits he would be wearing his dragon medallion, but in his 3rd he wouldnt so his freezing abilities would be weaker. His freeze wouldnt keep an opponent frozen as long, his clone would disappear quicker etc. This would be perfect if you wanted to handicap yourself.
Smoke. In his Smoke form he could use his smoke powers to do moves he couldnt do in his human form (if he has one.)
Sindel (i'm nit sure what alignment she is in the game, it says she's Edenia's queen, btu she doesnt look it.) Her 1st two outfits could be her as the queen of Edenia, but her 3rd could be her possessed. So she would have her classic moves back, just for that outfit.
So really, it would mostly be for third outfits. AND I strongly suggest that if this idea was ever used that all the 'extra move outfits' would be hidden and VERY hard to unlock. But i think it would be fun to try and find them, and would add more to the game. Just a special hidden costume that has moves the others don't, or is missing moves the others have (as it becomes a kind of handicap.) It could add replayability and would be a good addition.
Agree or disagree? Or do you have any ideas for hidden outfits for fighters that could have different moves than the default ones?

That sounds cool. It'd give it like a more realistic edge....very cool indeed!

well, this is just my opinion, but i dont think it would be that great, and besides, it would take even more time to give every single character a whole new set of moves, it just sounds like too much trouble to me

I don't think it would have to be an entire move set though. He's talking about adding or subtracting special moves, or enhancing/weakening special moves. I think that stuff like that would change up the game just enough to keep a lot of characters fresh for a longer period of time.
Perhaps adding one or two additional combos for that 3rd alt costume would be nice too if you're getting a few special moves. I think anything that adds a bit more strategy to the fight, and makes the game a bit more difficult to master is a good thing, without a doubt. You could have two Scorpion's in a match that can fight somewhat differently. Both have the harpoons and the teleport punches, and Scorps MK2 kick take down, but maybe only one of them has the power of fire. That one can use his fireball from the MK:DA demo, the flip kick from MK:DA, the fire breath, and the power to bring fire from the ground. That said, the one without fire powers could have three special moves that the fire using scorpion can't. I think that it'd add to the strategy of the game, and I like it.

Its an interesting idea but I think it would take away from the game. I wouldnt want certain moves gone just cause I liked one outfit better than another.
Not to de-rail the topic but, is there any evidence that characters in MKD will use the weapons on them or will they just pop outta nowhere like in DA.
One thing that really annoyed me is scorpion not using the swords on his back when he is in weapon style. It doesnt seem to have changed for MKD either. In screens that Ive seen hes got two swords in his hands and two still in the sheaths on his back. This seems like an easy fix that Boon and co. have ignored.

Sounds too much like weapon choices in Soul Calibur.

baraka407, that's EXACTLTY what I meant
I also like your idea baraka407, of having a few added combos for the 3rd outfit, but only if the outfit hinders the fighter. If the outfit helps them, certain long combos should not work.
But your Scorpion analogy is perfect, they both may have 'raise hellfire', 'teleport puches', 'backflip' and 'spear' etc. but the 3rd may have the fireball from the acid bath FMV from DA.
It would make one fighter at a handicap, so say you were playing your friend who isn't as good at MKD as you, they could be the 3rd outfit of Scorpion, and you could have the 3rd outfit of Sub Zero (the one with no amulet) so they have a better chance of a fair fight.

Grouchy and Sub-Zero-Aaron, it isn't supposed to be about adding or losing moves due to which outfit you like more. It is more about giving a fighter an advantage or disadvantage, it is to even up matches to make them more interesting.
Plus it would add to the replayability imo, as you may master every fighter and beat the game with them many times. Then you would finaly unlock the 3rd outfit and have a whole new set of challenges to beating the game (if the outfit is a hinderance) or more moves and as a result more fun if you get an added move outfit. If you've played Metal Gear Solid when u beat the game, when u start again u can have the unlimited ammo bandanna, the outfits would be a bonus and an incentive to go through and master the game again...
