Lacking as in second fighting styles, fatalities, hara-kiris, graphics and adventure? Then yeah, I share your pain.

Probabley because there are SO MANY PLAYERS.

Armageddon came out not too long after they started production. I know a lof of the stuff seems lacking, but a bunch of fans wanted a new "MK Trilogy". They wanted to see ALL of the MK characters in the fighting series up until that point to be playable, which is what we got. That in itself takes a little while to do, even though most of the outfits were recycled. The inclusion of Kreate a Fighter and a pretty decent Konquest imo, as well as that racing game they made, were reasonable for the time it was released. Yeah, they could have done more for the game, but because of such a demand for a second trilogy they didn't waste much time getting it released.
