Your suppossed to use the kodex with hints from the brady games website to unlock the secrets hidden deep within the game. But they have nothing on their website to use the kodex with.

I have no idea what that particular page means. But, at the bottom of each paged in the Brady Game Guide there is a direction or block. B,F,D,U, Block keeps repeating itself. Has anyone tried this as a fatality??????

Half of the Fatalities and Hara Kiris in that guide are either wrong or incomplete so I wouldn't put too much stock on that "Kodex" thing.

Actually, it says 1, F, 2, B, 3, U, 4, D, BL. I think it's some kind of code, but I don't know where to enter it.

ive been trying it on the opening sequences when you first start up the game / xbox

I'd like to know exactly what it's purpose is, personally. The alphabet with the character icons below them have all spaces filled except for "M" "K" and "D". Liu Kang's image is not among these, but I'm not sure if that was done because he is more secret or if there are two other chracters somewhere that fill the empty spaces.

I think people are too dismissive of this.
It has to do with 2 x super unlockables IMO (Liu Kang the 3rd which is known).
Why else would they go to all the trouble to make it?
I haven't even got the game (or guide) yet so I can't really start working on it.

what a sec..what if this code is meant for DA? I mean, think aobut it, the final secret..and Paulo Garcia said "keep trying different button combs in all kinds of places." or something close to that. what if this is it? to unlock the Swamplands, or whatever it may be..Just a thought.

Just a note on the Kodex: all of the characters in the Kodex are in alphabetical order EXCEPT for Tanya, Kira, Dairou, and Kabal...could that mean anything?

I thought the same thing. But the M and the K are taken from the words mortal kombat on the cover of the guide and the the D is taken from the word deception. And then don't have Lui Kangs picture because he is called Mystery in the startegy guide.

dont forget about sindel...... she is out of order too. it should go scorpion then sindel, sub-zero,tanya, shujinko (in order in the guide) Shujinko is out of order if that is the case....
Per the guide the order goes:
Ashra,Baraka, Bo Rai Cho,Dariou, Darrius, Ermac, Havik, Hotaru, Jade, Kabal, Kenshi, Kira, Kobra, Li Mei, Mystery (Probly Liu Kang, the specials make sense), Mileena, Nightwolf, Noob Smoke, Raiden, Scorpion, Sindel, Sub Zero, Tanya, and Shujinko.
so that would put out of "book" order & Appropriate Letter in Kodex
