What happened to the fan we were supposed to be able to use as a stage weapon?

I don't know if anyone remember it? we saw a few screenshot s for MKD with Li Mei holding a fan in her hand as a stage weapon.
Anyone disspointed that they took it away?

The steel fan was never intended to be a stage weapon. I assume they gave it to Li Mei for:
1o Testing stuff.
2o Midway messing with our minds.

Well looks like it was jsut used for testing. But Kitana was originally meant to be in the game, and Li Mei looks a little different form how she ended up, so maybe it was early tests from when Kitana was in the line up.
Would have been great if they were included as a stage weapon, but I think theyre too much of a trademark for anyone else to use....look at the agro they got for giving Li Mei sais in DA. (Would have even better if they kept Kitana in tho lolol.)
