What if MK7 was the big secret in MK:D? Like it was hidden somewhere in the Krypt, or it is the ''Super Unlockable'' that everyone keeps talking about?
The Midway team has already mentioned that they were already working on MK7, didn't they? And since all the team has merely done with the game is enhanced the fighting mechanic of MK:DA, added new characters, and developed some relatively cheesy mini-games. I bet it could have been possible for them to split the team up and have the better part of the group develop an entirely new MK game from scratch. After all.. we've known about the development of MK:D for over 6 months, and who knows for sure how long they spent working on it before that? They may have started soon after the release of MK:DA.
Anyway, this is an extremely of a far-fetched idea. But what if it were true? What if that were the real ''deception'' in Mortal Kombat:Deception - that MK:D is just an enhanced version of Deadly Alliance (similar to Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 and Virtua Fighter Evolution), but with some extra mini-games.. and that the next installment in the MK series were actually hidden inside this game?
Now tell me.. would that not just kick your ass in a major way??

well, that would be really cool and all but no way in hell. i would like to see a new mini 2d mortal kombat game be unlockable... based off of the mk2 fighting engine with all new characters, that would not only be cool... but somewhat posible. boon did say something about possibly making a new 2d fighter.

Seriously though, it takes a lot of work to create a game, they've been working on this for a year and a half, they've been moving extremly fast.
It will not hold MK7, period.

Anyway, I dislike the theory very much, and I think its 100% impossible. It would be very silly of Midway and the Team to do such thing.

MK7 was confirmed for xbox2 and ps3,so there're no chances of this beeing possible.

Right, but even Ed Boon has stated that since they're just taking the fighting mechanic in MK:DA and revamping it and adding new characters, that there wasn't a whole lot that really needed to be done to the fighting game itself. And that this time they were trying to apply most of their focus on ''content,'' which could be something huge considering all the time they've had developing this title.
I really don't think that they would put in MK7 or any-type of other fighting game in MK:D, myself. All I'm saying is that it would be amazing if they were to do something like that. Now what the odds are in that actually happening are completely irrelevant, all I'm implying is ''What If..,'' like the thread says.

Alright. I'm 99% sure that is accurate information.
However, what if that was just a ''deception'' too - know what I'm saying?
It's a completely far-out concept, I realize this. But it would incredible if there was something unbelievably HUGE like that hidden within this game. Something un-heard of in a game before.
