For the Playstation 2 version of the game, MKD, does anyone know what type of disc is it going to be?

Oh ya'know, round. I'd imagine there'll be a hole in the middle, for mounting in the middle of the playing device. There'll likely be some code encrypted into the bottom of the disc, allowing you to play the game. And probably some fancy art on the top.
But what do I know? :D

It's a double layered DVD. They needed the extra space for all the content.

If I'm hearing that correctly, does it mean that the MKD disk will contain roughly as much as TWO standard DVDs? That would make for one heck of a game... just hope the loading times are short!
Peace!

The only dual layered disk on the PS2 that I know of would be GTA: San Andreas.

Loading times are the same as mkda. You can see them in many gameplay videos.

OKay, we've already seen the menu screen, which lists arcade, puzzle, chess, konquest, the krypt, and options. So what would be on this "Other Side"
Seems kinda stupid to have a game on a two-sided disc. *Shrugs* But Iunno. Maybe you're right. Who knows?

Where did anyone here it was dual layer? And why does it even matter what type of disc. Think about it, if MKDA would not fit on a CD-Rom then MKD will not either. It's not like the disc type will affect gameplay.

You have no idea what you're talking about. Dual-layered does not mean double-sided, dual-layered means the disk has another layer of DVD storage space on it and can hold twice as much data as a normal DVD.

OHH my goshhh BREAKING NEWS: its not a dual layer disk cause the only dual layer disk is GTA san andreas, and it does affect gameplay cause if it was dual layered it could have over 90 fighters and all the MK fighters of all time fit on a disk.
anyway BREAKING NEWS: its not a DVD its not a double sided its not a dual layer, MK:D will come out in Floppy disk and cassettes. LMAO
