I thought the opening video in MKDA was cool.
I think MK:D should be like this:

The cinema starts with Rayden saying words about the history of MK(ShangTsung losing to Liu Kang in the 10th MK, Khan invading earth twice, Shinnok's invasion)
It then skps to a shot of what appears to be Shao Khan's palace. Rayden begins talking again and tells of Khan's "death" to the DA, all while it shows a "extended" version of the battle between Tsung and Chi vs Khan. It shows the DA walking into Khan's palace, and they then bow. Khan begins talking to the DA and begins saying that he has plans to once again invade Earthrealm. Khan then asks them where their loyalty lies. Tsung and Chi look at each other and smile. They then spring forward and attack the emperor. Khan appears to be winning at first, Beating down Quan Chi, and holding back Tsung with his Green energy orbs. Finally Khan yells "YOU FOOLS!"(with the old-school Khan voice from MK3) and Shadow dashes Quan into Khan's throne. Khan then flips off the steps and begins attacking the injured Tsung, but Quan Chi(wounded) throws one of his flaming skulls and drops Khan to his knees. Tsung begins shooting fireballs and finally uppercuts him, busting up his chin. Quan Chi then walks over to Khan's throne and picks up Khan's mallet. Tsung holds Khan on his knees as Quan delivers the final blow. He takes the mallet and whacks Khan straight in the jaw, making his blood stained helmet roll off the steps and onto the ground below. Tsung lets go of Khan as Khan motionlessly drops to the ground below. The DA smiles and walks off.
It then switches to what appears to be present time. The camera starts off at the ceiling of Khan's palace and begins moving downward. It shows Khan's face, but you can't tell what he really looks like because its covered in blood. Khan's eyes open and a lightning sound effect plays. Khan then stands up and walks over to his blood stained helmet and places it on his head. The ood that was on the helmet begins to slowly drip off. Khan then does a long slow blink and turns around, facing his mallet. He picks up the blood stained mallet and walks over to a big MK dragon logo and stands before it. He closes his eyes and he has flash backs of the fight with the DA, and the flashbacks end with a 1st person perspective of Quan smashing you in the face with the huge mallet. Khan then breathes hard and takes the mallet and smashes the huge gold dragon logo. It shatters into a million pieces. It then begins to zoom into Khan's face and you can see Quan Chi in the right eye, being massacered and in the left eye you can see Tsung getting brutalized with the mallet....
It then shows a small piece of the ending of the DA. Rayden tells what happened through narration and it then says that Scorpion defeated Quan Chi(It shows a clip of Scorpion doing the flame kick on Chi) and Shang Tsung was defeated by Kung Lao.(It shows Lao doing the flying kick on Tsung.)
It then tells what happened to the rest of the combatants. Johnny Cage went back to Hollywood and made a movie off of DA and it earns millions. Sonya and Jax return to Earth and try to rebuild the OIA. Mavado is shown telling Hsu Hao to destroy the Lin Kuei, but Jax intercepts him and tears out his heart implant. Sub Zero returns with the frozen Frost, but she can not be saved. Mavado, after telling Hsu hao to destroy the Lin Kuei, is walking around OutWorld, looking for Kano. He finds Kano near Khan's palace and they fight. Mavado has the definite edge, and Kano falls to his power. Mavado then takes his Hooksword and jams it into Kano's stomach. He takes the other Hooksword and jams it into the artificial eye. Mavado then uses the swords as handles and picks Kano up with both of them lodged into their respective places. Mavado holds him high over his head and begins to stretch Kano with the swords. After a few seconds, Kano's body rips into 2 pieces and blood rains onto Mavado, much to his pleasure. All of a sudden, a man with a respirator on lunges forward and stabs Mavado from behind with a huge spear. The man gets clearer and it clearly shows Kabal. Mavado drops to his knees and tries to turn around, but he is too wounded. Kabal then picks up one of the hook swords and slashes Mavados head. Mavado wails with pain and Kabal then turns him around. Mavado looks horrified and can't believe Kabal is alive. Kabal then slowly picks up the other hook sword and much too HIS delight, gruesomely decapitates Mavado. Mavado's head rolls and you can see Mavado's final horrified look on the decapitated head...
