Supposedly, Shujinko is supposed to have attained all or most of the characters moves from Deception once he is unlocked. I haven't given this much thought as to base my own opinion of this, but I guess it sounds pretty cool to me. I mean, if you got Dragon King as boss, Noob-Smoke as suboss (SUPPOSEDLY), then Shujinko with everyone's move, its going to be a pretty challenging game. As far as the story is concerned, I have no idea.

I overall feel that the Shujinko charcter concept is a bad idea. I really don't like it but i'll have to try it first. I don't like the idea of him having everyones moves. It sort of takes out the mystique and originality of everyone else.

i totally aggree with KOBRA.Whats the point in having everyone else if one person has all the moves would be diffrent if he morphed like shang tsung does.

Yeah I don't like him at all as a playable character. I never like old guys in fighting games see bo rai cho.

You can customize him to have the fighting styles and special moves that you would want him to have, I still don't know about how you choose which fatalitys he has though, oh and Noob/Smoke IS the Sub Boss.

When Reptile fought in MK1, and he was a character with combined moves of Subzero/Scorpion, everyone thought it was awesome. No complaining, except people wished he was a playable fighter. IT would rock to spear/freeze etc...
He got his own moves obviously in MK2...
Then there was Chameleon/Khameleon, that were also reptile wannabes with stolen moves..One of the ninjas, one of the female ninjas... Not so much complaining there...
So why not have a pseudo new Grand Master "chameleon/reptile" that has moves, only you create the move list. I think it's brilliant. It's like a "create-a-character" only not as silly as WWF games. Too bad the outfit couldn't be created like in Tony Hawk Skater creator. ;)

I think it's a terrible idea. not only is it non-inventive, but it also has the potential to become overpowered in online play.

think about it, alot of people want to make there own MK characters and midway gave us a character we get a chance to customize our own player.

Some are upset because he may be over used in online play and I can see that possibly happening... yet if they stated that he wasn't playable in online mode then there would STILL be complaining. I don't know exactly how his character works, perhaps he learns a move from each character he encounters but can't have more than one move from any giving character... meaning that he may have Scopion's spear but can't have Teleport, Flamekick, Hellfire etc. Same with Sub, perhaps he has ice but lacks Ice Clone. Either way, even if he is a super bad ass, people ain't going to always pick him. Just because he has a lot of moves won't keep me from playing as the others. And anyone that claims to be a bad ass at MKD can prove it by beating the **** out of Shujinko with a regular character. I'm sure some tournaments that are created will state that Shujinko is not allowed etc. But any way you look at it, people will still play as other people. Do people pick DURAL in VF all the time? Do they pick UNKNOWN from Tekken Tag all the time?
I think peoples own ego will keep them from playing as him because people will constantly comment that "Oh,... You had to pick the Uber-Guy to beat me, huh Bitch?" And then if you lose as Shujinko, you'll hang your head in shame. It's like beating someone with a B-Class car again their S-Class car in Gran Turismo.

Why is everyone bitching? I think the idea of Shujinko is awesome. Besides, he still isn't cheap. It's not like he can pick every style and every move. There will still be 46 styles and 23 weapon styles he can't use. And if he can only pick five special moves that leaves around 115 special moves he can't use, I'm sure regular characters will match up fine against him.

Supposedly Shujinko has the following moveset and special moves:
Mantis, Shaolin Fist, Dan Tien Dao
Freeze, Spear, Torpedo, Bicycle Kicks, Telekinetic Slam
That's it.

No, that was just what the MK Team did for the demo, but we get to pick his moves.

i also hate the idea ....it would be ok if he had 2 or 3 of the moves but all them/:S thats gay and his character is dumb 2....getting sick of the old school orintal fighters...luis dead now they are trying to make another one exactly like him but looks different:S

The demo didn't show the stances. According to DrDogg there was no customization option for Shujinko. Also Boon stopped mentioning about a customizable Shujinko for months now and hasn't hounded on it for awhile, might have been phased out.
Remember how he was all uppity about customizing Shujinko when he first announced it? He hasn't mentioned it since, but still continues to talk about the various extra modes in his interviews.
Who knows though.

Are you serious? First of all, he can't have all of them, just 4 or 5, second of all, lui isn't dead anymore. Third, lui does not have everyone's moves, so even if this guy did, how would he be like lui?

BTW, topic maker, why emphasize on the ON in the topic title? I would make it stewie griffin like and say "What the HELL is going on?!?!? Just a suggestion.
