Whats wrong with a crossover?

I love the idea of crossovers, and will love an MK crossover. I can see a few downsides like no new characters, no storyline, etc, but imagine the possibilities of the fighting engine.
Personally, I'd like to see one, but that's my opinion, what do you guys think?

Its because.....MK and other games like tekken and VF are entirely different from each other. I mean, I could see a tekken VF crossover, but MK and any other type of crossover would be too strange. I know I didn't explain that right. But you get what I mean.

I agree completely. No other fighting franchise has the same kind of aura that MK has, and this kind of forbids the MK characters ever to cross swords with any other fighters rooster. Tekken, Dead or Alive, Virtua Fighter etc haver all more or less the same environments, varying frm a more hi tech and technological style, to a more traditional martial arts tournament style, but it all seems similar. MK has that dark aura, complex storyline, a unique style, that no other game has one single similarity with. This makes MK an "untouchable" game, by the idea of crossovers.
The only game that could possibly be "compatible" with MK would be Soul Calibur. It's a mystic and ancient style and all... but in the end, it would be very strange.
So, MK stays alone .

I don't like the idea of an MK crossover at all. I've been looking forward for a long time to seeing a new story, that only MK alone can provide. If MK was to do a crossover, they would lose the unique storyline which so many fans have been looking forward to. I loved the stories of MK:DA and MK:D (not so much MK:A), so I am really looking forward to a cool new one. However, I doubt this will happen if they do a crossover.
Also, it would be really cool if they added some new, interesting characters into the MK roster. Some new and interesting character bio's will be very fun to read and learn, and it will be fun to discuss what people think of the new characters. But, I sincerely doubt that will happen if they do a crossover.
I really hope MK stays as unique and cool as it always has been. If MK does do a crossover, it will lose the individuality that we have all come to love. It will just become another typical fighting game, and I would really hate to see it be sucked into that stereotype.
I just love MK the way it is, it doesn't need to change to get talked about, because it already has so many devoted fans who like it the way it is. I don't want MK to lose its individuality. That would be a crime.
Those r just my thoughts
