when is the release date

the subject pretty much says it all. is there any news as to when mk6 will be released? obviously there's been speculation of a possible midway buyout, so that might throw a wrench in things, but that may be reason to speed up the release...who knows. i've read the rumors and if they're planning on using the same fighting engine (which is a wise move because i don't think the fighting system should be tampered with) then that should really speed up the process. i love mk:da so i'm glad i can play that in the meantime, but i'm really curious to know when they plan on releasing the next installment. mk6 sounds as though it's going to be really cool when it's released.

I don’t think they could have a release date now, because they have barley begun any work on it yet.

Btw, NightStrike, the work is already a bit advanced.

At this time, the predicted release date is somewhere around 2004. The month hasn't been announced. Even the season hasn't been announced. We're lucky to have the year (they could just have said "during this decade"...that would be worse).

i think it will be release in 2004. bc they just started to work on the next mk game.
and also, wasnt the next movie suposed to be out some time by april or around that month?

if it is coming out in 2004, dont yall think they already workin on it, they just not tellin us anything. well they probly gonna start on it rite after mkTE is released. maybe we'll have some 'concepts' by the end of summer.
