It wasn't intended to be original. That's why it's nothing but classic MK1 and 2 characters.

Well, the originality resides that we never get a good fighting game with DC Characters. Not that DC Game were good, but I enjoyed in the past with a game called Justice League for SNES.

The main problem is, unlike Capcom crossovers where the characters are tottaly different in main moves, had tons of super special moves, DC Characters are like MK Characters. There are no differences.
