You simply can't compare both of them.

Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks is an adventure game with fighting game incorporated. But it is a platform/ action/ adventure game in its essence, and an excelent one i must add.

Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance is a pure versus beat 'em up game, wich in my opinion is superior to MK SM.

Like Nightcrow said, it's difficult to compare since they're different genres.

I will say though that, if nothing else, MK:DA's story owns Shaolin Monks' story, no question.

I loved both. But i played MK:DA for 2 years befor i was bord with it., however i beet MKSM in one night with a friend, and feel fine not playing it. So i think MK DA

The playable character roster was boring in SM, so I'm going with DA.

Also, I played DA for months and months. SM I stopped playing after a few weeks.

The gameplay was great, but the feeling of it sucked. Meaning, I did not have fun playing as Liu, Kang, Scorp, and Sub. Where the heck were any playable females in the story mode? That probably would have gotten me hooked.

If you want a fighting game, pick DA, even when you unlock all of the characters in SM, there are only like 8 of them, and you have to play the adventure to unlock them

if you want adventure, pick SM, its not all that long, and the attack system is RPG based, but its pretty good
