OK so the PS2/Xbox have online mode and we got a special version with extra character profiles, MK1 perfect, an exclusive trading card. While the gamecube has Exclusive characters Goro and Shoa Kahnand probably other stuff thats being kept under wraps for now. So which one do you guys think will be the best. I myself think gamcube will be the best. I mean characters have allways been a big thing. Im not choosing the ps2 version because I dont have the online adapter. So I can't expirence the fun of fighting some of the mk players.smile

I think that the xbox or ps2 version will still be better because even though you get 2 new chars on GCN version, you don't get online play, and just single player gets boring after a while, and I know because I only got online access just recently, and I know the difference.

Yeah, you know there are going to be posts arguing X-Box is the best, PS2 is the best or GC is the best. It inevitable. Big masive flame war coming up.

Overall: PS2
For online play: X-Box
Character wise: Possibly Game Cube. Kahn and Goro just don't seem to fit in at all.

Being a Gamecube owner, waiting all of this time just so we can play as Goro or Shao Kahn to make up for online play is basically a slap in the face.. Thankfully I rented the Xbox version, and I like that version the best so far.

It sucked on PS2 and Xbox and the Gamecube version won't be any different.

I don't have a Live subscription, so I can't play online anyway....
But, I like the Xbox controller with this game.
The problem with the Gamecube's controller and fighting games, is that the D-Pad is too freaking small!
I don't own a PS2, so I can't comment on that.

to me the best version is xbox. only reason being the controller. i prefer that controller over the ps and gc contoller. if it wasnt for that then i'd say maybe gamecube since it got 2 extra fighters.

I wonder if the GC is going to have alot less glitches due to the time it came out on the ps2/xbox to the time it comes out on GC. I don't have ps2 online so I don't experience online either. But I will still go with the ps2 because thats the only system im mostly used to.

i havent played the xbox live mkd, but im gonna go with the ps2 version, cuz i heard that you have a really hard time finding an opponent to fight and on the ps2 online version, you have the lobbys where they list whos in the room n stuff like that. theres diff ranks of rooms, but almost everyone just hangs out in the beginner rooms and picks on the guys that really suck at mk in general. the gc might be pretty good, but i doubt that itll be as good as the ps2 version. ty 4 your time grinwink

for me ps2 is cool cuz it has on line play, 2 characters for ngc?
so what?
the real experience for mk is on line not offline.........
they can keep goro and shao khan......
i bet that in the next mk they will be there for ps2 (or ps3grin) and xbox..
so we wait the next mk, anyway this one is too full of foolish charactersfurious

I'm not set-up for online play period so just coming from having both PS2 and XBox, analyzing it by look and feel coupled with controller design I'm going with XBox. I *personally* like the button lay-out of the XBox controller for this game in particular better than the set-up for PS2, its just easier for me.

I have to agree that XBox is #1 for a) Online Play & b) the better configured Controller. That GC Controller seems so muddled and confusing and the PS2 Controller is generic and awkward to handle in my opinion. The XBox Controller fits nicely into your hands and controls beautifully.
