This forum Is for MK lovers and I think I speak for everyone on this board when I say were all hyped about this new MK, even if it is a stopgap between MKDA and MK6.

Yeah except for me, as well.
I think you'd find there are quite a lot of people on this forum not particularly hyped about MK:TE.

Notice why this forum section is probably the least visited.

i have a portable DVD player/monitor with a/v inputs, 2 shadowblade arcade sticks which are indestructable, and everything i need to take the game with me... Bah... me in pain? i don't need your stinking 2 button nonsense.

Lol, speaking of Street Fighter, that's the main reason Sega made the 6-button control pad.

MKTE works fine with 2 buttons. It might not be as good as having 4, but it works fine for what it is.

pfffff how can you tell? SF puts out a new version about every 6 seconds... all i know is the ads i saw were about how the pad would deffinitly be released by the time MK came out.

and yes, before you start in on me for this hypocritical comment, i would buy new MK games that often, as long as they are joystick compatible.

luckily, Boon wants us to actually play the game, so they dont come out that fast.

then cry to mommy. 2 buttons (really 4) is fine with me. Holding the directional pad down and pressing a button results in different moves.

I don't think the game was all that hyped up. I can't find it anywhere in stores. Had to buy it off ebay. But overall... if you found it hyped up, thats because this is an MK board. Even MKSF was hyped on this board when it came out in 2000.

I thought that two buttons sucked, too..until I played it. Try it, honestly. I thought it would suck, but I actually play my portable MK: DA and MK: TE more than the console version. Damn is it fun.

(See--I actually tried to get my point across without insulting anyone. Now, will someone else step up and do the same?)
