I know this has been done a few times before, but I checked, and I culdn't find a thread like this in 10 pages, and I didn't want to bump an old thread.

Anyway, who do you reckon will be secret characters in Deception? Right now, I'm guessing 8. Here's my guesses, complete with an explanation as to why:

1. Rain: He was specifically mentioned to appear in Konquest, but we already knew that he was there: every single MK character will be featured in the mode. This leads me to believe that he is secret. He also ties in with Sindel's and Jade's story: he could try to save Kitana. He's also got a lot of fans.

2. Jax: We know he's in there, and we know that he's not on the select screen.

3. Sareena: Her story left possibilites for expansion. Also, Noob Saibot and Sektor are in, so I reckon they'll add Sareena as well.

4. Quan Chi: Scorpion's bio seems to suggest that he is still alive. He too has a lot of fans, and surely, he needs to stay alive until Scorpion can finally kill him?

5. Chimera: Boon confirmed that the Sub-Boss was playable, and the current rumours say that Chimera is the Sub-Boss.

6. Dragon King: If the Sub-Boss is playable, it's a good bet that the final boss will be too.

7. Mavado: He needs to come back: the Red Dragon have an entire stage to themselves this time round, so they need a representative. Mavado also needs to come back as he ties in with Sub Zero, Kabal, Kira and possibly Sektor as well if the Tekunin and Red Dragon form an alliance.

8. There's one more spot left. It could be another returning character from Deadly Alliance, or a new guy (maybe Havik?).

You'll notice I've left out Raiden. This is because I don't think he'll be playable. I think that his bio will be unlockable in the Krypt, but I don't think that it will go any further.

These 8 characters would fit under the bottom row, with Chimera and Dragon King taking pride of place in the bottom left and bottom right hand corners. The secret characters would not visible in shadow on the select screen, like the 12 unlockable characters already on the select screen (like Noob Saibot and Kabal), but would appear one at a time under a certain character when you unlock that secret fighter.

I'm predicting a large amount from MK:DA. Raiden, Sonya, Movado and Quan Chi.

I also think at least 1 newbie will be secret.

I think Rain is secret and Raiden and Havik and Daminshi or w.e his name is and quan chi even tho i dont like him I dont think theyd have room to but the other 8 under the 24 so there will be 2 added to the ends of the 1st and 2nd rows like in MK3 or MKT

I don't think Sonya, Mavado or Quan Chi are going to be in MK:D

I agree with most of that except for a few things.

The DK will probably not be playable.

Mavado will not finish his story already, Mavado will probably be in MK7.

I respect you a lot, but the lady with green costume fighting against Kabal & Kira is Tanya... although this doesn't mean that Jade cannot be playable

Kabal is in the Select screen...
I hope Reptile is in!! he has bg chances with the DK story line...
Sereena would make sence too... after all, would she be introduced for nothig?
If sektor in=s not in the select screen, he would also make sence.

Mavado I would not like to see. his moves sucked.... and I found him kid of boring, he could make a cameo though

Also... I thought it was interesting how at the begining, they showed a pic. of puzzle kombat with Quan Chi and Kitana in in DA costumes... if thweycan fight in puzzle rounds, they must be programed in. (I just the pic hope it wasnt a tryout or something like that and they used DA characters cause they dindt have D designs finished yet.)
Ånyway, where i;m going with this is I hope that there are some DA characters roaming around.

Dude, how do you KNOW that Mavado, Quan Chi and Shang Tsung are going to be playable in the game??

I'm sorry man but ...I really don't think they will, it just doesn't seem like it...

With the rest i can agree, except for Reptile, He's probably the Dragon King now...

i think that they are going to have something where yur able to unlock characters from MKDA...maybe thats y rayden looks the same... Maybe theres gonna be a chance of playing other characters like sonya, but they will have the same look from MKDA, and they wud probably just add them in to make more secrets and more characters...

To tell ya the truth I think that this might be the next MK Trilogy (2); I mean more and more and more keeps getting added and I'm not the only one that is noticing this (so maybe everyone is going to be in it; a while back I read an article that they're trying to get all the older characters in 3-D so maybe now is the time for it/maybe not)

Raiden a few times has been confirmed a regular character (even though Reptile and Scab were too - which I wonder if they still might be even if Midway is telling us no - I mean why give away all the surprises)

if not here's who I think will be hidden (13-in prison stage/unlockable through the Konquest/Krypt):
1. Drahmin
2. Fujin
3. Jade
4. Jarek
5. Kai
6. Kintoro
7. Kitana
8. Kung Lao
9. Motoro
10. Nitara
11. Shang Tsung
12. Seerena
13. Sonya Blade

Shao Kahn/Reptile will be an extra boss or part of the Dragon King or an extra hidden fighter

Extra Hidden:
1. Blaze
2. Frost
3. Chameleon (we have every pallet swap character besides Reptile/Rain so a good possiblity also a rare race and him and Khameleon and Reptile's MKT endings were left missing in action)

and I hope Stryker and Mavado are dead!!! unless Mavado gets new moves!!!

and I SERIOUSLY doubt that we'll see Rain in this game: Raiden, Ashrah, and Nightwolf already have lightning/electric based moves

Forit to be MKT 2 there have to be 6 MKs first. Plus, the thought of a MKT 2 is ridiculous. The style of fighting changed so much from MK4 to DA, it would never work. As for the secret characters, of course Reptile isn't going to be in it, he is the Dragon King, stop trying to fight it. I also hope that DK is not playable, why have a boss if you can play as him? I wish that the sub-boss wasn't either, but I can't do much about that one. Also for the record, I hope Rain and Stryker never return to a MK game besides Konquest.

What does the change of gameplay have to do with having characters and arenas back?

Anyway, reptile may be back, since he has so many fans, but like human smoke did, not really a part of the story, but kind of like a plus, for fans.

I'm also surprised at the amount of DA "references" there are. Raiden is understandable since he is powerless or dead, but the fact there are pics of puzzle kombat w DA quanchi and kitana in still intrigue me. Maye is an unlockable ONLy for puzzle, We are fgonna hve to wait and see...

As for Brunão, Kira can't possibly replace Mavado because she's a Black Dragon member and Mavado is a Red Dragon member.

im pretty sure that sareena will be in because of her storyline in TE and also we have a demonslayer people ashrah why wouldnt they have a demon for her to go up against? also this will make sub run into ashrah maybe trackin down sareena hmm? the woman in green is jade and gosh this game needs to come out already! lol we know that the MK team will choose the right people and that if they choose the wrong ones they will work on it in MK7 I mean cmon it aint like its a life and death situation if one character aint in it...I like kung lao but if he aint in it (which i havnt heard he is) then tough luck life goes on lol...anyways my list is this

Good question. It's one which I don't think anyone has a definite answer on yet. Back in May I was told Nitara was being considered and that she was almost fully confirmed, however a lot of other people have said that there would be a new male vampire.

In that respect, we'll just have to wait and see. I hope we get Nitara personally.

So do I mate but if not at least hearing Sektor again on someones confirmed list is heart warming.

Nitara is my fave girl but if she's out Kira might just take that mantle for me.
