I got Xbox live with cable modem and I ready to fight come October

probably not till spring with ps2 online being that are cable company supose to bring highspeed internet by AUgust but they don;t have the stuff yet.

How can I setup rogers cable with my ps2 ethernet without a router?

hellz yeah... I'll be online w/ my PS2 and sh*tty dial-up connection lol. Actually I'm hoping to switch my ISP and get DSL/cable... look, for me as Jaybe2K4... unless someone steals my all too generic SN... d'oh!

I'm really hoping that the online mode is done right. I hope they incorporate something like the Profile in MK:DA to keep track of win/loss records, only more in-depth. Maybe even bet Koins online... but there would have to be something to prevent cheating (both codes and people disconnecting to prevent a loss... and people who play themselves to raise rank). I hate cheaters... it'd be great if someone attempted to disconnect, but it was able to register as a forfeit.

It'd also be tight if there was rank (similar to MK Online but once again, deeper) like n00b, monk, mortal, warrior, champion, king, emperor, deity/immortal (and once you reached immortal your stats would be frozen and no losses could be added, but others could fight you and raise their rank faster if they won)

and a tournament mode would be sweet... where you could set up brackets...

this will never happen, but i can always dream: playing games with specific rules (i.e. no projectiles, only projectiles, no blocking, only Fatality's equal wins...) man... the potential is great

but i'm afraid that we'll end up having random battles once you log-on, with no buddy-list or any of the aforementioned ideas... that will be dissapointing, but oh well, at least I'll constantly have someone to compete against, and that should keep me hooked for a long time

I'm gonna practice with the game for a few months, get good with most of my fav characters, then start bashing people online under this username, without the 777. HI HO NOOB AWAAAAAAAY!
