Who here believes DLC is still coming?

Midway is in the toilet within a breath of inevitable collapse, nearly 35% of the company has been laid off, and we are in the mist of the worst financial crisis since the great depression; I REALLY doubt everyone over at what's left of the Midway office is wondering how to get Reptile into this game.
It would be amazing if it happened, but most of you need to face reality.

While I do realize that, it is the reason they SHOULD be pumping out new games and DLC, so that they can make more money, let's face it, while they're up their asses in debt, they have to at least TRY and do somethign about it instead of just falling deeper.

But it costs money to produce new products. Money they do not currently have. How much money could they possibly make off of DLC anyways? If it's characters or arenas they almost guaranteed to lose money because those take quite a while to design and program.

I don't know what to believe, it's Christmas Eve already and we haven't had any news what so ever on DLC. It would have been up and running by now if Boon kept his promise but in their condition, I don't know what to say.
There's still tomorow. Hey, you never know.

I don't understand why people keep saying Boon promised DLC by Christmas. All he said was that he would've liked to have DLC by Christmas. He never confirmed it.

HE SAID IT WOULD BE NICE. Boon did NOT promise it.
He did not. Wait for it though - I am sure someone will say Boon lied.

Well, Santa Claus isn't funding the Wheelman game, and I'm sure Boon and crew aren't sitting around twiddling their fingers.
There's money to be made from downloadable content, and I'm sure that's being taken into consideration.

I believe in Santa Claus Talking seriously, I believe that there will be no DLC at least in this year. Maybe in 2009.

Like you care, you hate the concept of this title.

It would be great if it came because, characters such as; Johnny Cage, Kung Lao, Mileena and Reptile would be present along with Goro as well. Instead of them making dlc, they should of just put those characters I mentioned in the game literally. Then we wouldn't have to speculate when dlc would be coming out.
Just hope that they will make MK9 the best of the series. They could put the missing characters from MKvsDC into MK9 instead of this dlc crap. Add a few from the MK side from MKvsDC, and then throw in some others from MKA. Take those character's plus newbies and there you go.
Just my royal opinion.

You see, that was my attitude back in the previous generation. I've had a huge change of heart.
Boon needs to abandon the turn-based roster system and just put in the the most story relevant character based on each game's situation. When MKD was in development, Boon threw in a number of characters that had been absent for a while (some of them my favorites), then gave them hollow and pointless stories. Can't blame Vogel; he only had what Boon gave him to work with.
Prime example: Nightwolf. With Raiden corrupted, he seemed like the the best choice as a temp leader, so when he was confirmed, I thought they'd finally give him a good and developed story. Did they? No, his story was weak and completely isolated from the other characters. His role may have been important, even vital... but it was still lame and uncreative.
Some of the obscure revivals got good storylines, Noob and Ermac being the best examples, but the fact is that I don't want them to bring back old characters if they're not going to give them good stories. Boon's system of roster inclusion may please everyone at first, but then Jerek walks into the room and everyone shits a brick.

I'm agreeing with this guy 100% all the way.
