Who or what do you want the sub boss to be?

Would you want another Shokan? I've heard the rumors that many of you have probably already heard as well: Goro's brother might be in MK:D. Could he be the sub boss? Perhaps a cooler centaur or another oni?

Finally, how about a human (or something close to human) character return? Quan Chi? Shang Tsung?

The other rumor that's persisting is that the sub boss will be playable. I believe that Ed Boon confirmed this in an interview, but I'm not 100% sure.

My bet right now: If the sub boss is playable, it's going to be one of two people: Reptile or Shang Tsung.

One of the blacked out pictures on the select screen looks rather scaley (it's on the right side of the nonblacked out characters, bottom row in the first column) though I doubt that's Reptile just because Reptile has devolved so much that his face would have to look very MK4-ish to fit there, and Reptile doesn't look like that anymore.

That leaves my prediction that the bottom row, all the way to the right in the corner is the old man version of Shang Tsung. I'm calling it right now. We already have a monster as the boss of the game, I'm thinking the sub boss will be human, and I'm thinking that the soulnado from MK:DA is no more, Tsung lost, Quan Chi is either missing or dead, and Tsung aged, but is now serving the DK. Just my prediction though!

I want two sub bosses:

first: An evil and poweful wizard (zaggot?)
second: A monstrosity mammoth sized creature
Final boss: Dragon King

If the sub boss is playable, I hope it's the weakened, regular version of him/her. Before you fight the sub boss version of this character, a cut scene should occur where he/she gains some immense power and new abilities in addition to the core ones.

Well I've heard that the sub-boss will be a chimera, but I'd prefer the new sub boss to be Blaze, but looking like the fire god from MKMSZ:

Cus I'd like Blaze to be the guardian of the DK, continuing his protection of the dragon egg - even after hatching and becoming the DK. And if not Blaze/Fire God then Reptile...

That fire god looks nyce, i think he'd make a better hidden character than sub-boss though.

A chimera? Really? Where did you hear that? I could see that being pretty sweet. Not sure how he'd fit into the story, but we shall see.

I'm still holding out hope for the older version of Shang Tsung. Does anyone agree that the picture in the bottom right corner could be Shang Tsung either from MK:DA or MK1? The blacked out picture looks like they have his style of hair and his jawline. I'm hoping for it, so maybe I'm not being completely objective. Anyone with an objective opinion care to venture a guess?

Why don't they give Bellok a chance. He looked like he could make a good sub boss, and I liked the whole "devil" theme to him. For those who don't know, Bellok was a red (or black) skinned devil looking thing supposed to be in MKG, but replaced by Goro

Yeah, he looks awesome. i would like to see him as a hidden fighter if he wasn't the sub-boss. Since MKMSZ I've wanted the return of the Elemental Gods, not just Fujin - but all of 'em.

The chimera theory has been floated around MKO alot. Unfortunately I don't know where it started, but maybe it was from one of the magazines? Also I've wanted old man Shang Tsung to return, either playable or as a boss, ever since the 1st MK. And it's easy to add to the storyline, he's just aged after failing to rule supreme with the DA.

I actually see Liu Kang as the sub boss. I once said I think he should be controlled by the dragon King until an ending and he will be the fighter before the dk

If it's a Shokan, then I want Kintaro. He's much better than Goro.

If it isn't a Shokan, then Liu Kang's body.

If It is a monstrosity, I'd like a Shokan. Seeing as goro was cremated, and Motaro's MK Bio says Kintaro was turned to dust by Raiden, I'd think it would be a new shokan.

I wouldn't mind a strengthed, more viscious/cooler looking version of the MKDA reptile as a sub-boss either. And an old Shang would be awesome, If he could morph. If not, he'd still be good.

BLAZE-WTF he sucked I hope he died
A Chimera-Thats doubful this isn't tekken we don't have animal like creatures fighting
Shang Tsung hell no he sucks DA sucked because the bosses were easy

Boon Said it would be the hottest MK fighter weve seen so I think its LUi Kang The DK resurected him and possed him or turned him evil.

Since Mortal Kombat is leaning toward a different storyline...I doubt they would revamp and old character especially a mkda character just to be a sub boss they're doing that just for the cast of characters. Granted I would like to see two sub-bosses. Since we can assume that the Dragon King is the leader of his army he should have a General. I doubt his general would be a shokan or a hybrid or some kind from a previous Mk.

The Sub-bosses should be the DK's own personal assassin and his army's general.

The assassin should be a female of a new race. She should have some of the most powerful moves in the game.

The General should be a male...He should be a mini version of the Dragon King damn near.

There should be 3 Sub-Bosses.

1.Another Centaur that is bigger, faster and stronger than Motaro and has new moves.
2.Goro's brother Durac
3.A new Oni that is bigger than Moloch, has horns and breathes fire.

Ive also thought MK is well overdue a female sub boss. It would good if the Dragon King had two kick ass female assassins and u had to take on the two of them. I dont mean these actual characters, but like Kiri and Anke from The Conquest series. A duo like that.

MKKitana thats a great idea, like for a sub boss 2 on 1 kombat, it wud annoy you but if u completed it you wud be reliefed and have a party.. mmm i want a girl duo sub boss!

well if u want shang tsung as a sub boss were not gonna get it. it has been stated by ed boon that the intro show the demise of the deadley alliance. anywho the inro is suppose to be very long but im getting off topic. anywho i would like a nother shokan. doubt it would be goros brother cause he was killed off in the animated movie but if he was to be in the sory he would be after noob saibot because he killed goro or atleast inflicted the mortal wound.i would also like a mutant sub boss. someone more mutated then baraka. someone who gives u a real challenge even on easy diffuclty. but it problay be reptile or some oni that the dragon king made a deal with. id like to see chow kang come and fight for his fallen brother if my favorite kung lao doesnt come back. there are so may great possiblites and wants for a new sub-boss.

Yeah, that would be an awesome Idea. After all the singles matches, an endurance round versus two female assassins loyal to the Dragon King, then a sub-boss, then the main event.

I like that idea, except the genral should not look like the DK. He should look like one of the soldiers from the DK's army.
