Who should be the best and strongest character in mk6?
Also, who should be the boss and sub-boss in Mortal kombat; Deception. And, should they be playable or selectable?
What are your thoughts on this people?

No one.
The game should be balanced. Every character should be balanced in some way, form or fashion. It adds more depth to the game.

It would be more realalistic if some were strong than others.

You misunderstood..
When one references strength in fighting games, they generally mean playability. There should obviously be someone who can take off more damage than another character. These are known as "Powerhouse" characters.
In a traditional fighting game setting, Jax would be a powerful character but would suffer from speed. The essence is seen in Deadly Alliance but isn't totally fulfilled.
Consider another character, Johnny Cage. (Yes, I know.. Don't turn this into a thread about a hatred for characters) He's obviously built but appears to be aerobic. A martial artist, according to the original game. He should inflict less damage but make up for it in speed.
Doing this would allow everyone to be just as good as someone else but in an entirely different way... It creates balance.

I do agree with you that the sub-boss should be extremely powerful. It's Mortal Kombat tradition.

I agree. As you can see in every Mortal Kombat Game the boss or sub-boss has always been the most powerful.
Although sometimes the boss isnt playable.
Take Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance for example.
In it the end boss was the oni Moloch, who only had a couple of moves that took off unbeleivable amounts of damage.
But the bad side to Moloch is that he has barely any speed, which makes it easy to dodge his attacks.
one of his attacks is unblockable. It is the one where he picks you up and smashes you with his ball.
But still, what character do you think should be the strongest or at least who has the strongest moves?

For some reason i seem to like this idea.
It would actually be a good idea. And it will make things a lot fairer too. Say if you were versing your friend and you chose the most powerful and he chose an average guy you would always win.
But other than that, i have to say that the boss should be the strongest with the most powerful moves.

Yes. In the original Mortal Kombat, the bosses were unforgiving compared to the ladder. I would like to see the feeling from earlier games inflamed in the series once more.
I want the Sub-Boss to be almost undeatable. I want the boss to make me suffer for any mistake I have.
Moloch was a disappointment. 1.2.3.. Attack. Continue this with a long range fighting style, be it a weapon or hand-to-hand style and Moloch would drop in no time. He's easier than basic fights, IMO.
~~
It would make a much better game if every character had strengths and weaknesses. Many games attempt balance. I'm sure Wanderer knows what I'm talking about, he has an understanding of fighting games like no one I've ever seen.

Do you think moloch will come back in mk6? if he does do you think he'll be the strongest?
Or maybe they'll make spirit Liu Kang the strongest character?
If you would like more information about my opinion of LIU KANG please read my thread called Important Zombie/ Spirit Liu Kang thread.

yeah i think so. It would make sense as he does have control of the army and he is new to the game.
Then who do you think will have the fastest or strongest moves?

That all depends on how analytical you would like to be...
Speed can be determined by many things. The speed at which a character reacts to things. How fast a combo is executed, etc.
I believe that Sub-Zero being the fastest is reasonable, his combos seem to flow more than other characters.. Perhaps that will prove true once again.
As for strongest specials, that's determined by use, ability and type.. It all breaks down in the end.
Sub Zero is a strong character because he can freeze his opponent, opening up the ability for a combo. The same goes for Scorpion with his spear.
Then again, a move such as Quan Chi's green skull takes off damage while giving players room between one another... It should all depend on how you plan to play the game. :)

Yeah, i guess each character will have their strengths and weaknesses.
I think it does depend on how good you are at the game and how you block and use combos etc.
But it seems that every players combos are all fast.
In MK:DA i think nitara had the fastest combination. I think it was in her first fighting style.
So if Moloch doesn't appear in deception, who do you think will be the boss?

Supposedly going to be a character called Chimera.
No one knows if its design will be influenced by mythology or if the MK team will just create a look for him/her/it.
It's been mentioned as playable character though. Intriguing, I believe this would be the first time that a Sub-Boss would be playable "out of the box"

Yes. That is why most people use Sub-Zero in the classic games? Skill doesn't always play in.

Funny. I have never really thought that subzero is that good. I mean, in deadly alliance, he only had a couple of special moves like the freeze a nd the freezes shaker move.
I dont really use him because i dont think he is that good.
In MK:DA, i usually use the following: I think they are the best characters in the game and i have mastered them inside out.
Shang Tsung
Quan Chi
Scorpion
Kung lao
Raiden
kano
But this is just my opinion. You guys may or may not like the chars i do.
But lets get back to the point were here, to discuss who should have the strongest moves or the fastest moves in mortal kombat deception.
What are your thoughts?
By the way, about Chimera, is he a new character and what role is he meant to play in the storyline?

By the way i forgot to mention, does the deadly alliance come back in deception?
And what about moloch and drahmin, are they returning too?
Will Scorpion come back? I hope he does because i am the master with him and he is my favorite character.

The Dragon King should be the strongest. Honestly, the idea of the mid-boss being able to beat the boss is kind of annoying, I mean, why isn't the stronger of the two in charge in that case? I real hope the Dragon King makes whatever this mid-boss is look like a mere insect in power.
