That would be a good idea, but I don't see it happening because the files would be too big.

Unless, they can record just the buttons and directions used during the fight. Then have the console reload the fighters and arena and apply the buttons to the characters again.

It is fun watching replays, but better to just do it again!

-about remembering input- i`m would guess this is what most game replays are- it would explain why you can`t fast-forward gran turismo replays. I remember on a demo of `dropship` i finished a level, but in the replay i died- maybe it just missed a bit somewhere (chaos theory in action!)

Maybe saves of all parameters describing the game state could be recorded every minute or so (for gt), so you can skip to any of these points. I don`t know about mk code, but if the game speed is mostly dictated by the graphics and ai, then things fast-forward shoud be possible (ai can record the computers `input` just like the player`s). Perhaps could remember reverse `events` so that rewind posible too?! (actally i expect that things like cloth/hair simulation wouldn`t work properly backwards- but this is just cosmetic stuff that doesn`t effect the rest of the game)

Anyway, it would be nice to see, espescially if you could move cameras around, play with special effects (like slo mo) and edit a movie together.
