Story and look: Ermac.
Gameplay: Kenshi.
They're too similar, but Kenshi's Fighting styles and special moves put Ermac to shame.

I was liking Emac until I used is fireball, its too damn slow. Ermac's costume is susposed to be a burnt orange color.
If they would have gave him his old fast fireball and his telepunch he would be better than Kenshi.

Does anybody know how to unlock Kira?

Excuse me, Kenshi is a rip-off of Ermac. Kenshi stole Ermacs move since Ermac was the original telepathic MK contestant and Kenshi is just a crap character there is no way he is better than Ermac its ludicris to suggest, Kenshi reminds me of Daredevil, you know , the Marvel superhero that is BLIND and yet can still fight. The only problem is, how does Kenshi know where the feck the contestant is if hes blind. Because Daredevil had super hearing abilities and he could still see heat. But how does Kenshi work huh??? Kenshi is nothing more than a complete rip-off in every way and is not unique he is used and why the hell is he in the game I hope they ditch his arse for MK7. Ermac, is the one the original the best!!! Get rid of Kenshi!!

We know that Somnambulist If they gave Ermac the moves I suggested he would smash Kenshi, but they did not make Ermac better than Kenshi on this game.

character wise ermac owns kenshi..
but fighting in mk deception kenshi is the man to pick if u want to beat elite players online..
kenshi has 2 moves that ermac already has, which r ermacs best 2 moves, but for kenshi he has 2 other moves that r better...
kenshis teleport and "tele" 3 hit combo, r great moves to have and ermac doesnt have them... so kenshi 4 great moves + his weapon style is better (damage wise). ermac 2 moves that r good.. his slam is easy to avoid.
u know, i dont get it y is ermacs slam easy to avoid but that damn dairous slam isnt.. damn the mk team....

Very hard choice. Both have amazing stories, both have amazing looks, both have .amazing powers
I really don’t know. While I consider Ermac the best of the Mk ninjas, I consider Kenshi one of the best humans.
It’s a tie.

Ermac is better, he's more original, he looks cooler. Even tho they made ermacs fireball worse and took out his teleport punch he's still better. Also Mystic Float if used right, is very useful. Kenshi's only advantage is he can warp, ermac is kinda sluggish when it comes to moving around (which is why he needs teleport punch).

Ermac all the way. The Mystic float moves are way to good. As for Kenshi's mind warp it is not all that great in fact its no good. If Kenshi does his mind warp all the opponent has to do is hit the throw button. His mind warp is only useful whenever the opponent uses a projectile. As for their combos Kenshi is to predictable and after he finishes his combo he stays open for about 3 seconds. So my vote goes to Ermac. GROUND BOMB!

Nah, actually Kenshi's better.
Gameplay wise he's leaps and bounds ahead of ermie. I love Ermac's story and his ending, fun character to play, but Kenshi's better in everyway.
to clear a few things up. kenshi did not steal anything from Ermac. MK:DA was the first Mortal Kombat game to make use of any kind of telekinetic anything. Ermac's nowhere to be found, but guess who is. Kenshi. Sure, Ermac had the Teleslam in prevoius MK's, but to corrolate a 2d game with a 3d one in that respect is stupid. 2 completely different games. If anything, Ermac is a wanna be Kenshi, not as good as the blind swordsman in everyway.
Ermacs fighting styles to be honest, are some of the weaker ones in the entirety of MK:D I'd almost pick any other character in Deception than have to fight with Ermac. Sure he's fun but competitively speaking he is infact inferior. As previously stated not only do Kenshi and Ermac share the slam and throw, but Kenshi also gets 3 other moves that tie into his combos that make for some wicked strings. Guaranteed a top tier Kenshi fighter can out fight a top tier Ermac fighter any day of the week, if not for sheer playability of those characters.
There's no comparison. Kenshi is better than Ermac in everyway, Ermac is sadly just, inferior.
To Ermac's credit, the multiple voices thing has gotta be one of the coolest parts of deception lol.

for me it's a tie, I like both, gotta love ermac design and all, but kenshi's the best mkda new character imo, so it's a really close tie, let me just play mkd a bit and see their second fatalitys, since I already saw the first's and their hara-kiri's..and play with them a bit...and I'll probably untie this... lol

I've gotta say Ermac. To me he seems like more of a challanging character to use, but if used effectively can be one of the top fighters in the game. Kenshi is quite a fighter too, though. I suppose it's more personal opinion and fighting preference, as these two characters share very similar things.

Is it just me, or does Kenshi remind any one else of Ed Boon?

Ermac and Kenshi are my two best.
Neither of them are better in my opinion, they both have their up and downs.
Kenshi has two long distant easy to pull off moves, and Ermac can auto-hit while a person is blocking from a distance. Kenshi has teleport, Ermac can tele-throw easy. Kenshi looks cool, Ermac looks cooler.

Well Kenshi is better. Ermac is a little slow and has little combos.
This is old, but do you notice that in UMK3 Arcade Ermac has a dark skin (looks like Jax). He become white in MK Trilogy. Funny.

Ermac. His story, Look and gameplay is better than Kenshi.
Too me, Choy Lee Fut is one of the best fighting styles in the game. I also find that Hado-Energy almost always hits, You just have to know when to use projectiles. His Telekinetic Throw is supreme! and his Levitate Kick/Levitate Bomb is great too. I use them so sparingly that i always suprise my opponent with one of them.

i believe ermac is better maybe not for his fighting but he was the orginal kensi's story was he was trained by ermac which i belive they intended to replace ermac with kensi then brought him back kenshi is faster but ermac does more damage.... and if the mk team whould bring the the ninja power of the mk3u erra kensi would be put to shame but i think they brought ermac back just for fans and didn't want to spend to much time on him
