Obviously they would give him fresh moves and such if he was in deception. I really want smoke to be back in the series, he was awesome in my opinion. I want to see him return and help subzero out by fighting off the red dragon and sektors clan. They never talked much about smoke, and his whereabouts is a total mystery. Thats why people want him back, knowing what hes been up to and how his story will unfold. Plus, another reason why so much people like him is because of his first appearance in mk2. He was a great secret character.

But trust me, the whole "copying" thing has pretty much ended, i doubt we will see things like that happen again. They will give smoke a fresh arsenal of movesets.

As of looks, i want him to be half human half machine. Picture cyrax, except way more on the human side. I would like smoke to have cables coming down from the back on his head, as well as robotic arm and knee pads. I want him to have a human stomache, but with some kind of huge machine part coming across it diagnoly, or even right in the middle. I would want that to be some kind of weapon. For his face, he could either have the cyborg eyes, or human eyes. I would also want him to have the mask over half of his face, with the cyborg-like-mouth.

His moves would be a mixture of both cyborg and human moves. For one of his moves, i would like him to shoot out a big dark grey chunk of toxic smoke at the opponents face, thus, causing him/her to choke for a while, making them helpless for an open combo. I wouldnt mind if he had the invisibility move back as well.

I only did a breif description of his looks, i can picture him looking WAY better, but i dont want to go into to much detail, it would be to long. Anyways, the reasons i stated above is pretty much why people want back smoke, (theres probably other reasons to). I, for one, want him back as HELL. I seriously hope he returns in deception as a secret character.

Smoke is an awesome concept character. He has a good storyline and has the potential of having great fatalities. That and all elemental-based characters are awesome

I feel the same way; I'm really getting tired of people saying "Bring Smoke back!" He didn't have any original special moves, and although it has some potential, I find his storyline to be sub-par. We have enough, if not too many, ninjas already.

if I want smoke, I want cyber and human. Both of em, and human smoke should look like mku3, not like human cyrax, cuse human cyrax costum just sucked.

Smoke should return. He'd be really pissed off considering his life as a human is only a memory n such n with him being so pissed, it'd just add all the more pist-off-ness to the game. Bring him back!

the only reason people want him back is because he was a clone of scorpion but faster and stronger and the cyborg one is the same. i say they need to get rid of him or at least give him new moves and a good story line and he wouldnt bother me as much

Though other resons i'd like to see him, He has a great story-line which would fit in well with MK:D. And i would really like to see what the smoke emminating from him would look like in MK:DA/MK:D's graphics.

Whats wrong with his story? atleast it evolves unlike sonya and jax's.. theirs has been the same from day one.. There are alot of story possibilites to bring him back.. First off he is still a member of The Lin Quei .. Now that his best friend sub-zero is the grand master... wouldnt it be likely for smoke to still be around? Second of all.. if Smoke sees that Cyrax has become human again.. dont you think he would try to do so as well? After all, out of all the robots he is the one that still retained his soul. Another possibility would be him coming back for revenge against cyrax and sektor.. My point is.. I think story wise Smoke would make a great addition to MK6. The difference there is, Smoke's moves NEVER changed. Granted, Cyber-Smoke's moves were a little different from Scorpion's, but he still stole them. In UMK3, Noob and Jade were given original moves; Human Smoke, however, was still stealing Scorpion's.

I say Ermac and Noob is enough pandering to the ninja lovers. Enough is enough, pallette swap or not.

The stigma of being a pallete swapped ninja is ever-lasting. They can change Smoke all they want, he still started out as a clone. Reptile is not the same, Reptile evolved into his own character from the beginning even if he did have Sub's moves he was still unique from the start.

I just don't think Smoke is that special as a ninja. If he does return, he should definitely be a new model cyborg that looks completely different from Cyrax and Sektor.

im still lookin for a good reason for him to come back...wow, he has a story, if they cared so much about his story, why hasnt he come back since MK3/UMK3/MKT? personally his story is one of the few things that made MK a 'soap opera'...

Reptile by far is the most evolved...Sub Zero and Scorpion have to be in the game as the promotors...Ermac and Saibot are back from popularity and mystery (completely clueless why)...and now Smoke? well in Human Smokes case, enough with the ninjas!!, we have several, no wonder theyve been characters the same moves *cough-Smoke-cough*...Scorpion/Sub Zero were brothers, H. Smoke and Sub Zero were friends, but yet H. Smoke has Scorpion's moves? that makes no sense, you would think they were the brothers...

it wouldnt make much sense to change H. Smoke's moves since he was not been original whatsoever, therefore we've been accustomed to his 'type' of ninja (for example...Ermac is a 'telekinetic type' of ninja), thats like making Blaze shoot water...

and bringing the H. Smoke back is too late since theyve already went with the 'Smoke is a cyborg' story...and with Cyrax and Sektor appearing in games since MK3, they cant go back and change it...

i noticed some of the people wanting Smoke back as a cyborg are the same people who hate the cyborgs which is a weird contradiction...

Cyborg-wise...the 'turning back to human' concept is taken (Cyrax), which would make Smoke, yet again, a copycat for them trying to do it with him...being a badass cyborg (would make him bad), since they were non-emotional cyborgs (Cyrax has gotten his back in a sense), but the badass, well, thats Sektor...so again, Smoke a copycat...and keeping Smoke the same doesnt fit half of you people's idea of 'evolving', the main excuse why everyone says they want more ninjas and less cyborgs...ninjas evolved, cyborgs didnt (even tho clearly Cyrax has, just a bad story)

Smoke is absolutely pointless, face it...the only way he will come back is to make people happy and make more realistic gamers disappointed

you people complain that he has no original moves and what-not what about that queerball Mavado He has hooks that pull himself towards the opponent if that aint a sad excuse to make a new move from an original one then god damn Id be glad to have Smoke back in Cyborg form or in Human form. Also originality does seem to be a problem with you people cause for some reason you still play the game as your favorite characters that kill the person the same way by exploding them, ripping off their head, impaling them what ever, but still the fatalitites still seem to be around the same way that they kill people and if you could think about that for a second then you might see some silly-ness in complaining about smoke and his spear.

If smoke is so pointless as a character then how do you feel about Jade, Noob, and Reptile? They all began as hidden characters and little (except for reptile) is known about them. How do you feel about the rumored, errors, and/or late addition characters like Rain, Classic Sub Zero, Ermac, Meat, Blaze, and Mokap?

If you are complaining about pallete swaps, IMO the all black ninja was the worst. So he had the names of the creators, it must have taken them a long time to get that skin completed for him. He didn't evolve at all through the rest of the games either. His costume for MK4 was horrible and UMK3 and Trilogy weren't all that inspired either. At least smoke's model/skin had something to it.

As for bringing him back in his human form, they have brought dead characters back before... they could work the human form of smoke back into the game if they really wanted to.

Regardless, hidden/secret characters add to the game. We may not like their entire story or how they develop through the series (noob for me, smoke for others)... the enjoyment of looking for them and searching them out is worth it. People had fun hunting for smoke, "Toasty!" on the portal was allot of fun in the arcade! It's the same as the hunt for Reptile in the original.

People get attached that mysterious character and they want more... in any form. If they continue to incorporate these characters, I hope they follow the pattern/standard they laid down for Reptile... giving them a solid story and having them evolve with the series.

Ah, I'm so tired of saying this. But out of love for Smoke, I'll repeat myself. If you hear me out this time, I'll be forever grateful.

Whether you love him or hate him, Smoke has potential. Bundles of it. I'll cut it down for you guys, to give a more complete idea where I'm coming from.

Story potential: Smoke is the ally of one of the most important characters in all of MK. Not only would it make sense for Smoke to join Sub's new Lin Kuei, but it almost seems vital at this point, since Subzero is now fighting against the weight of the Red Dragon, Sektor's faction, and the threat of the Dragon King. I don't know if any of you have ever had a friend die, but if so, wouldn't you miss him/her? It may be just a game, but it seems Smoke would fit in perfectly at this point.

Gameplay potential: Smoke was a Lin Kuei warrior, which basically means he's been training and scouting missions his entire life. That leaves an entire dimension of fighting styles to him. It's also surprising that from the time he's been introduced, the creators have never used his myst ability. Well, think of all the potential there. He shift into a cloud of Smoke, thus dodging certain projectiles/attacks and could even be a form of teleporting. Or perhaps he could use the myst as a projectile, holding his opponent in the air for an approximate amount of time. Just use your head, guys.

And as much as I hate to burst your bubble, REPTILE IS NO FUCKING DIFFERENT!!! He started as a pallette Swap, then got his own original moves. The only reason he's evolved is because he was allowed in more games, unlike Smoke. Smoke has yet to even be a standard character(read: not hidden).

And really, I have no idea why Noob Saibot gets off the hook so easily. He is the most generic character in all of MK. The one time he did have his own move set, he was a pretty weak character. Then they brought him back... with other character's moves and styles! Stop complaining, and let the fans have what they've waited so long for.

People have loved Smoke since the first time they saw him poke his head out from the tree.. And story wise he got a total BUM RAP! No one wanted to see him turned into a robot, and now almost everyone want him human again.. Iv'e said it before and I Will say it again... If Cyrax can turn human again so can smoke!! Not to mention the fact that Sub-zero (his best friend) Could probably turn him human again with the Dragon Amulet. I really hope Smoke comes back for MK6!! BOO YA!

Jade was given orginial moves in UMK3-NOT! Jade's flash kick was a rip off of Johnny Cage's Shadow Kick; her razor-rang was clone of Johnny's high and low energy baseball. In the bad old days, female ninja's replaced missing characters.

I always thought turning Smoke into a cyborg was a mistake. I think I read somewhere the Boon thought so too. This would be a chance to correct this wrong!
Smoke never wanted to be a cyborg; Cyrax and Sektor did. If Cyrax can change his mind and return partially to human, then Smoke should be totally human.
As for moves, he would finally be getting his own is Deception. He could partially retain his Cyborg moves and I wouldn't care. Jade getting her own moves wasn't the best thing for her IMHO. I thought Jade was more visually appealling as a tan brunette with brass fans! I didn't want her to do fan lifts but I disliked her PURPLE staff and boomerangs and flashing white projectile intangibility.

Listen, Smoke is not the same as cyrax and sektor, he was the last ninja to be automated, thus he is way more advanced, he was actually a ninja in a game before. Cyrax and Sektor were never in a game as ninjas before.That is why everyone likes Cyber Smoke, is because he was once a playable ninja.

I never really liked Smoke. I always thought of him just a copycat of Scorpion, same look, same moves, only difference was that he was grey with smoke around him and was 2 times faster than everyone else. And if he is a lin kuei, then why does he practice ninja moves? throwing a spear is part of the ninja fighting styles, not of the chinese lin kuei's which rely on hand to hand and special projectile abilities (ice).

And even worse, they turned him into a robot. At least he could have stayed human.

I think he might show up in MK6 somehow, there are a lot of smoke fans out there.

I hope Smoke shows up. Obviously he will have different moves so you don't have to worry about that.
