Why do you think Tanya has been under wraps?

Post your opinions on why you think the MK team is so dead set on keeping info on her secretive....esp with all the negative feedback from the fans. You would think they'd release SOMETHING to help hyper her up.

Well 1st of all, establish wot u mean by "under wraps" ...cos 2 you, that cud mean one thing, and 2 someone else, summat completely differnt.
Shes just as much "under wraps" as anyone else. The game isnt even out yet.

No, as a BIG Tanya fan, I agree that she's definately been kept under wraps. I think there are 2 reasons. Either they know she's not popular and think nobody cares about seeing her, so they aren't wasting time hyping her or she's really really awesome and has really badass stuff (moves, looks, fatalities, deceptive story) so they're saving the best stuff for the gamers to discover themself.

*sigh* Under wraps meaning not much mentioned or released about her in videos or other things. Hell even in her bio we're not treated to very much intel.
And no shit, the games not out. I'm asking for SPECULATION.....We've learned a LOT about MOST, NOT ALL, of the other kharacters.

i don't know, but i sure hope she has a cool fatality like her one in MK4 where she gets on your neck and twists it. The way their head wobbled after was classic!

i dont understand why tanya is so hated cause i think that she was one of the best characters in MK4, i personally hope she kicks ass in this game and that she still has her torpedo kick thing.

about her fatalities in MK4, were you serious that you thought they were good? They were mediocre at best, she needs much more stylish and brutal fatals.

I think they are trying to keep some stuff hidden from view so people will get the game to see how cool it is. Like Dairou and Havik.

In simple terms, so u understand :
Underwraps :
Sub Zero, to me, is under wraps
But someone else may say/think they are happy with his character.
Anything else? Good.

well actually all the character are underwraps because we dont really know what has happened since MKDA, we can only make theories on what has been released about each character.
and back to the subject of Tanya, i'm indiferent on the fact that she is back, but i kinda hope she has her torpedo kick thats kinda her signature move (in my opinion) and her fatalities sucked on MK 4 so i would like so see one of hers but i can wait until i unlock her

im not sure yet y she has been..i hope we get to see her fatal soon, or atleast see some of her moves, i think out of all the characters shown in videos often, she is the only 1 who has yet to do a special move.. i hope she has her moves from mk4 plus a few more!! some kind of thigh head squash would be nice!!
she has tons of fans on this site, im 1 of them.. im just not vocal about it because, kitana is my fav overall!!! i spend most of my time being vocal about her!! grin

i'm a big tanya fan too. i owned with her in mk4. i think she hasn't been shown much for all the above reasons. i think it's a little she's a back burner type of character since she's not as popular as say sub-zero and sindel and jade, etc, and i think they knew from the beginning she's going to be unlockable so they don't wanna show too much of her, or maybe cause she's gonna surprise us all and they don't wanna give it away. i hope it's three cause i always thought she had great potential and i can't wait to use her in action again.

I have always thought Tanya is a pretty good character. I think they're keeping her secret because She will probably have a big part in the deception of this game. Or maybe they just want us to figure her out by ourselves.
