Why do you think the MK: Team named this game "Deception." (I think I know why)

I think the name Deception was picked because the deception in the deadly alliance. Maybe the story of MKD gets started by one member of the deadly alliance decieving the other. My thought is that maybe with the aid of Baraka Quan Chi kills Shang Tsung, thus bring him out of the woodwork. I think milenna might be back to get revenge on Quan Chi for killing Shao Khan, thus being a good reason for the Dragon King to resurrect her...(if he is the one that did, or if she even died).

And seeing how the latest rumor is that Baraka is Quan Chi's bodyguard, maybe that is why we see that fight between Baraka and Milenna in all the trailers.

Also Khan is supposed to be immortal, it would be nice to see him return as a playable character or something because it would be obvious that he would be out to kill the Dragon King as well, and maybe he is decieving everyone into thinking he is on their side with the hidden motive (or obvious) on taking everything for himself.

I think everyone is being deceptive in the game. I think that's why it's the name. And plus, the Dragon King is known to be very deceptive.

I still think a big possibility is that Liu Kang will turn out to really be Shang Tsung.

Shang Tsung took Liu Kangs soul and can morph.

It all makes so much sense.

It would be so cool if you could resurrect the living breathing Liu Kang (human form as 3rd alternate outfit!) by defeating Liu Kang with a fatality and causing the ghost/zombie to melt away, revealing Shang Tsung (who you then fight again). This could be the sub-boss fight or maybe better found via a secret portal or something. What I mean is the only way to unlock Shang Tsung and get the human Liu Kang is by way of a secret portal or something and until this is discovered you can only ever fight the Zombie/Ghost forms of Liu Kang in arcade mode.

Then of course Tsung could become an unlocked, playable character later also.

You have hit a gold mine!!! That would explain why he is in Deception!!!

Yeah thanx well whether that's one of the deceptions or not I think it does fit and accompanied with an excellent FMV sequence showing the discovery of Shang Tsung and on his defeat the resurrection of Liu Kang would be amazing.

Kind of a cool way to get the old Liu Kang back as well.
