Why does everyone just assume that the Reptile becoming Dragon King ending was the true one?

The same reason you'll see people assuming Reiko's MK4 ending was true.

because hes not in MKD (yet or not yet) and the DK is ressurected.

OK I think I can some up the Rekio thing. Maybe he was dressing like Kahn or something. Meaning that the DA killed Rekio instead of Kahn meaning thats why Kahns still alive. Back to the Reptile thing I'm pretty sure if IM wrong sorry but Im sure that boon said reptile was the DK. But If I am wrong I think that the DK used Reptile body to be resurected the DK's its own person but it used Reptile to come back to life. Hope this helps.

The Reptile's ending it's true, but... Reptile ISN'T the Dragon King, because he resurrected in his OWN body, and Reptile only DEevolved one more time...

Well, I guess it was because this one was the most interesting of the endings. And I'M not sure, but I think that Boon and his team talked about that in an interview a couple months ago.

1. Boon has already stated that Reptile is the Dragon King, now.

2. Repile doesn't 'de-volve'. He is a Raptor, and can take the form of a human whenever he wants. In reality, he is a reptilian-like creature, and his 'de-volution' was brought on during his madness after failing to protect his 'master', Shao Khan, between MK4 and MK:DA. Since it takes concentration for him to keep his human form (like it does with Shang Tsung keeping an assumed form), his 'madness' would degrade that concentration to the point where he no longer could keep his human form, and would slowly slip back into his normal, reptilian form.

1- ED BOON never said that Reptile becames Dragon King

2- Reptile DEevolved because he's far from the matriarch of his race.

Wow, alot of interesting theroys. Especially Reiko posing as a decoy and taking the fall for Kahn. That really does kinda makes sense to me.

As for Reptile, well if his body was just used as a "host" for the Dragon kings revival. I dont believe that its technically still Reptile.

Im just hoping that in true MK fashion Boon and the guys can spin it so that we get to see Old school Reptile back for one last time.

It doesnt say he became the Dragon King, peole just assume it. It says that the beam of energy from the egg lanced through his body and disfigured it horribly. I reckon it killed Reptile.

During Fight Night 2002, the MK team team had given strong hints that Reptile has a large part in he future of MK. Overall to me it makes logical since that Reptile is Dragon King. Of course nothing is fact till the story of the game is 100% known.

ok here I'll explain why I think this is one of the true endings, first off it correlates with the events of at least three other character endings (Nitara, Cyrax and Blaze) second, it says nothing about him beating the deadly alliance or even making it to face them (I am inclined to believe that all of the endings in MKDA that did not name the character you beat the game with as the ultimate winner as true so I also think Scorpions occurred as did Hsu Hao's and Jax's, etc. but not Quan Chi's Shang Tsung's Kano's, or Drahmin's, not sure who's winning ending was true though) anyway thats just my reasoning. I dunno if Reptile is in fact the dragon king but I think his ending was true and he did have something to do with setting off the hatching of the Dragon Egg.
