Bo' Rai Cho is from Outworld. In Outworld, people age extremely slow. Look how young Kitana looks, but she's over 10,000 years old.

Shujinko is older than them. When he started his Konquest they weren't even born yet.

Kitana looks like a human girl with 28 ages, but her age are 10.000 years (aprox.)... I suppose the same that Bo' Rai Cho, overall if he were he who introduced centuries ago the fighting style of the Drunken Fist (according to the Konquest of the MKDA)

I think Dick Clark is from the outworld too.

Not only is he form Outworld, but it is Mortal Kombat, anything can happen.

Okay, forget that Sonya and Cage thing I just mentioned. I see know his bio says LONG before the first Mortal Kombat so they can still be that young. As for Bo Rai Cho, I guess you guys are right. They probable age slower in Outworld or something.

EDIT. I knew Kitana was over 10.000 but I thought that it has something to do with being from Edenia an not with Outworld.

that is true the people of outworld age much slow then us.
so let me get this straight, konquest takes place before any of the mortal kombats, so that is why you get to run into every charatcer up to the Deception. so if you wanted to meet up with kabal, you have to wait for him to age into the Mk3 timeline. as cage and soyna, MK1 to DA, was only like 6-10 year apart, the storyline go if i remember correctly, mk1 to mk2 is 2 years apart, mk2 to 3 is like a year apart, mk 4 is about 2-3 years part, and deception and da are maybe months apart.

Just like anything else in life, we can use Star Wars as a reference point. Think of Bo Rai Cho as Yoda and Shujinko as Obi-Wan Kenobi. Bo Rai is comic relief on the outside who in actuality is probably the biggest badass in Mortal Kombat. He trains people to become champions and compete in the tournament, enter the young mortal Shujinko from Earth. Shu is human, so he ages just like you or I, but Bo Rai Cho is from a different world and though he's thousands of years old, doesn't look it. Yoda's over 300, trains people to become Jedi, looks and acts silly, but is actually the biggest badass in Star Wars.

*scratches head* I thought that Bo Rai Cho was Edenian (sp?) and that why he ages so slowly. I am most likely wrong, it's been a long time since I read his bio.

I guess it will probable be something like that. It will be very interesting to see the MK timeline from a different point of view. To hear people talk about Liu Kang winning the Tournament and the invasion of Shao Kahn afterwards. I guess this explains also why you have to be at the right place at the right time to meet a certain character.
