Why Theres No Sign of DLC Yet

As long as the sales of MK vs DC keep rising or remain steady, news of DLC most likely will be held. But when sales start to drop, DLC will provide a nudge.

The DLC probably needs a lot of bugs worked out of it, and does have to meet the approval of two licenses, but more importantly, at least in a business since, it is most advantageous to unveil DLC when sales of the game have reached its peak and online activity is at an all time high.

Why hit the NOS off the line? I wouldn't expect to see anything DLC til mid January

Yeah I mentioned the double approval before, and of course they have to get the thumbs up from both to agree a simultaneous release.

Has anyone actually hacked the disc to find out if the DLC is already on the disc? and you are paying for "Keys" to unlock it?

i think the only dlc on the disk is quan chi the rest would be real dlc not keysgrin

That depends on if there's code for a movelist and such. Otherwise, he's just there for cinematics.

Well they said they'd most likely put out DLC if it sells well, and as of now it's well above 900,000 copies worldwide for both consoles, so I'd say they are very hard at work and sales will continue to rise. Maybe we'll see DLC before Feb.09, but that's just a guess.

Hope they work out all the bugs on the new characters as well as giving them fatalities.

I'm hoping for a huge number of characters for DLC. At least give us eight more characters for each side.

I recall hearing someone did in fact hack the disk not long after the game came out, and Quan Chi isn't on it anywhere, all the cut scenes are actually videos, not rendered in-game.

If they were clever they would give us a nice amount of characters to help hold us over untill MK9 which won't be coming for quite a while.

haha i wish no way where gonig to see 16 charcters thou if the game did/dose better and if midway wasent shit broke mabye but well probbly be luck to get half of that 8 and 4 on eatch side mabye idk im starting to lose faith well get anyone other then quan chisadgrin

Lol, yeah, Me being a bit delusional. I guess the number we can expect is 2-4. But I won't be paying for 2 or 4 characters, If they want me to shelve out MORE money (aka, my parents money,lol)then they are going to have supply us with a rather large amount of characters. Also, I'm shocked Midway didn't make Quan Chi playable since he plays such a huge role. I honestly think we'll end up getting eight characters, 4 MK, 4 DC, a code to access more blood and a few alternate costumes and maybe an arena or two.

Anywho, I heard it costs roughly 20, 000 for a patch not sure about DLC but you have to figure since this game is banking bigtime it'll happen sooner or later. They're working on DLC as we speak though I believe.

Smoke is awesome, I'd love for him to be in DLC along with Ermac, but I think chances of that happening are slim. We'll probably get Quan Chi or Kung Lao for MK, and Doomsday or Lobo for DC.

I would probably cry tears of blood if either Ermac or Smoke make it in DLC ahead of Goro, Kung Lao, Quan Chi, Mileena, Johnny Cage or pretty much anyone else.
