Well, it could mean that Kitana is dead. Maybe Millena/Baraka/Sindel, or a combination of these guys killed her in the time laps between DA and Deception. Or she is simply not willing to fight again. 3rd alternative could be she is going to be in, but not announced yet. Or she is a hidden Kharakter. We will see.

For some reason I have the feeling that the Deadly Alliance won and have imprisioned the "main" earthrealm warriors (eg sonya,johhny cage,kung lao) and now the Dragon King has overtaken the deadly alliance. The rest of the earthrealm characters have came to rescue them. The fighters from other realms are there to stop the dragon king.

Who gives a shit about her, she's probably weeping for her poor Liu. QUAN CHI should be our concern!!! YOU CAN'T KILL HIM OFF MIDWAY!!! LET HIM SHIIIIIIIIIIINE!!!

Ahem, this thread is about Kitana, not Quan Chi. So the people who should post here in this thread, are those who care about Kitana. Make a Quan Chi thread instead.

Well, the reason Sonya; Jax and Cyrax are not in is probably because of Sonyas ending. If you see it, it says: "Sonya, promoted to general; goes back to earthrealm with her team."(not exactly but something like that) However, it says something like: "But Kenshi stayed knowing something was beggining to trouble the peace...yes, the Dragon King has come." That could be the reason why Kenshi is in, and everyone else is not. About Kitana, however, I don't know. Her part in the story in MKDA was really useless, and there are some things you should understand:

1- The fact that MILEENA is in, doesn't mean Kitana's in. For example, on Deadly Alliance(and other MKs) Kitana was in the game while Mileena was excluded, I(whose fav character is Mileena) did not complaint, just bought the game, was fun; then it's great.
2- Secondly; anything could happen in MK's story. Kitana could have been killed, or she didnt feel like fighting, or nothing is explained just she's not in the game, and that's it.
3- She MIGHT BE IN, as there are still unnanounced characters and secret ones. Even more when her story in MKDA was so useless, now they can say: "She did not have anything to fight for in Deception."
4- The fact that Mileena-Sindel-Kitana was a known combination in MKs, doesn't mean Kitana has to be in when Sindel and Mileena are(Example: MKD could not feature Kitana and still have Mileena and Sindel); it does not mean either than when Kitana is in Sindel and Mileena have to also(MKDA had Kitana, it did not have either Mileena nor Sindel.)

Anyway, about what happened to her is really difficult to say. The MK story has many twists, some unnexpected; so they are not like what you said in your post. One can live without the other, they do not need each other in order to live. However, even though Mileena is my fav character, I admit Kitana is cool too and it would be nice to have her in Deception, I think she has low probabilities, that's all.

I believe the creators of Mortal kombat ow it to Kitana to put her in deception. So far this seems to be the best Mortal kombat(as far as we know) therere is no reason why she shouldn't get to be a part of it. she should return as the vicious fighter that she was in MK2. Anyone agree?

Mileena and Sindel are so much better then Kitana in terms of stroy-deep.

Sindel and Mileena are back...so WHAT! We have Tanya and Li Mei already! Why Kitana? She is definitely not needed. AND like someone said, it does not mean she will return.

There is still a chance she can return as hidden or something. VERY LOW, but still she has some chance.

I hope not. We have enough already. By far Kitana wont be missed.

Dont get started on weak stories, if we were going by weak storylines, Scorpion wouldnt have made it up to MK4.

I think kitana has had the most important storylines from the mk universe. She better be in it, maybe her ending of MKDA was just to set her up for MKD. Well im keeping my fingers crossed. KITANA AND MILEENA have been in so many games together. MK2, UMK3, MKgold. The only exception was MKDA but maybe they didnt put in mileena due to the time they had.

I don't mind, 'cause we still got Mileena and Sindel. But I really hope they don't kill Kitana off like they did to Liu Kang 'cause that'd just be a kick to the crotch.

Since Kitana isn't in it, I'm interested in seeing what Mileena's purpose will be. Hope it isn't just a simple "she joined the Dragon King but secretly plans to betray him." I'm getting tired of this bit, they've beaten that angle to death.

Im also hoping kitana isnt dead, and that mileenas story becomes more interesting and that she actually plays an important part in the game.

I would be happy if they use her same model of MKDA with some adjustments and a few different moves. They did it with scorpion. I dont think it would take them that much, except for her storyboards and stuff.

I still don't think Kitana's dead; I think she might be not in the game as a main-playable charater(which means you cannot use her on Arcade nor Versus); however, from what I've read about the Chess game and something I realized, I think there is something more than meets the eye.

Characters like Quan Chi, Kitana, etc etc seem to have low probabilities to be in the main character selection screen on MKD. However, we've seen their pictures in the Chess game!(both Kitana and Quan Chi, along with others), this could mean that maybe the MK Team is putting some characters in the Chess game that are not available in the normal mode, this could be a reason for many people to play this Chess game, and also remember that when you fight someone in the Chess game, it turns into a normal battle, which means the characters available in the Chess game are actually playable, it's just that they don't play a part on the story; however they do appear and you can play with them, just that in a different way.

I don't know if it's actually this way, but it could be...is it is, well, this becomes a possibility for all characters that are not in the main selection screen to be playable in the Chess game.
