im preety sure that if kung lao comes bak in mk:d i think he will not come back for revenge because according to his mk:da ending he killed shang tsung so i think that hes coming back with a different story

Even though Kung Lao's one of my top favorites, I don't think he's gonna be in this one. I hope I'm wrong though.

He's gotta b in it, he's the new Mortal Kombat champion! At least, ... I hope he's going to be in it.

Perhaps he didn't kill Shang Tsung and the DA fell apart before he could make a move. And I do think the DK will be a threat to everyone. It's another good vs. evil story

According to Kung Lao's story in Konquest mode, he and Kitana faced off against the Deadly Alliance, so he definitely faced Shang Tsung before the DA fell apart on its own. I think it likely his ending will prove to be true (though who knows how Kitana fared against Quan Chi).

I'm also keenly hoping to see Kung Lao in this installment. Prior to DA, I considered him little more than a boring filler character. However, his new storyline and new look in DA, combined with a badass moveset, catapulted him easily into my top 3 favorite MK characters with Scorpion and Sub-Zero. He was also the only character I could beat the game with and not have to use any continues. I'll definitely be disappointed if our resident hat-thrower and Shaolin monk doesn't make an appearance. He definitely made a way cooler "main hero" character than Liu Kang ever did.

I think that Kung Lao will return in full force. If Lui Kang dosn't come back as Kano (from Quan Chi's ending), I think Kung Lao will take his place as the main fighter in MK.

I happen to think Kung Lao is badass but i dont think one person should continuously be a champion. It got old seein Liu Kang bein the champion for EVERY tournament before. They should mix it up some with like Raiden, or Subzero, or Scorpion...you get the idea.

I dont think he will be returning. He got his revenge didnt he? What could be his purpose in the next MK?

If shang tsung makes it in MKD, then i think kung lao would to. I dont think kung lao's intentions are to defeat shang tsung, but to kill him. He was down right pissed when he found out about liu kangs death, and i think he wants to KILL shang for killing liu kang. Also, if the DK has plans on conquering edenia, then i suppose kung lao would try to help kitana battle against him, as well as any other earth characters.
