Will Mortal Kombat VI Come Close To Virtua Fighter 4, Dead Or Alive 3 and/or Tekken 4?

...In terms of graphics and animation, respectively? No matter how biased one is, you can't argue that Virtua Fighter 4 is the most visually appealing fighting game on the PS2 and Tekken is one of the most nicely animated. Dead Or Alive 3 also comes to mind when thinking about the Xbox. Gamecube has no real exclusive decent fighter, from what I can remember (I don't consider Super Smash Brothers Melee as a fighter).

Quite possibly. It looks to me like the Mortal Kombat team will be putting a lot of time into the next insallment of the series. The graphics in Deadly Alliance were pretty impressive to me, but I guess there's always room for improvement.

Yeah, I agree that the graphics were actually quite impressive. Some people were complaining that they were too cartoony, but when I took a good look at the models and the faces, they looked quite realistic to me. I wouldn't blame Moloch for being cartoony, but Quan was the one who did seem to look a bit cartoony. As for where the gameplay is concerned, I liked MK:DA's gameplay and I'm glad that they made a huge evolution in that area unlike Tekken 4. They had different attack moves instead of having 2 punches and 2 kicks like the previous MKs. And I'm also glad that they will start from scratch with the fighting engine, because I think it would be cool if each character had their own separate system and not all have the same amount of hand-to-hand styles and weapon style. (I'm excluding Blaze and Mokap of course when referring to the 2 hand to hand and 1 weapon.) And of course there should just be more than that (e.g. different button functions per character). But most importantly, they should have a good storyline with lots of twists and a good amount of characters (at least 20). They need to return that essence from MK1 and MK2 so it can once again create that asian mythological ambience. And of course putting the MK1/MK2 type of music along with the environments could help.

MK:DA is simply the best fighting gameplay with impressive graphics (designs very well done). The characters move in a very smooth and realistic way. U can't get easily board.

MK series doesn't need to be like any other fighting game, it already has its unique fighting style (& graphics) and still with much better than ever.

-I liked VF2/3 but 4 wasn't that good. VF has the best characters throws (throwing moves very close to reality). Also, pretty good characters designs & moves, music & sound effects.
-Tekken also the previous series were better. The graphics were good. Bad Gameplay but a good game to watch at its players' fight.
-DOA3 don't know it but I saw once a part of the intro on XBOX and it seemed to me a little bit cartoony/childish. I didn't like the characters.

MK6 must be something really special. Hope that they'll take into consideration the very few but big mistakes that they did in MK:DA (like stage fatalities....unbelievable mistake).

The only REAL fighting game on the GameCube is Bloody Roar: Primal Fury. But then again, BR:PF is boring after you get all the characters (which is just Ganesha, Cronos, Kohryu, and uranus in that order) and unlock the cheats. So I guess that the GameCube doesn't have a real fighting game, either. Just my $00.02 on this.
