I think the DK and Kahn could pair up trying to overthrow all realms. Kahn is fading in Outworld and now he'd have a chance at total domination. As would the Dragon King who awakes and (probably) will have that undefeatable army, intent on possesing every realm. So like Shang and Quan Chi in DA they would team up to combine powers and then when they gain control stab each other in the back. Or is that too obvious, I don't know....

It appears the deception is that every character will be deceived, somehow by the dragon king.

I like that idea, it can make the storyline complex and interesting.

Apparently thats what Ed Boon hinted towards, but I still would like to hear what really happened to shao khan, and what the future holds for him.

I don't think Shao Kahn would team up with the Dragon King unless he really had to. And I don't see the Dragon King teaming up with Kahn, unless he was just going to use him to help out with things and then kill him. If the Dragon King is as powerful as he is made out to be he wouldn't really need anyone elses help.

True, the DK probably can take over by himself. But in the trailer it says the sinister force uses the trust and loyalty of an ally, to take it all... Who can that be, Reptile? No cus he probably is the DK. So I can't see who else that could be.

It could be Reptile! Look how easily manipulated he is! He probably would be distraught however if his master betrayed him though!

I dont think they would team up.DK really dosent need a partner.DK is suppose to be this really
bad sinister person so if any thing he would just
kill Shao Kahn.So i hope if Kahn returns it will not be a partner thing.Long Live Johnny Cage.

I have a feeling the ally is Baraka, because they show his evil looking eyes in the first trailer.
