I hope its early stuff, but if you look at the destroyed objects in the first 2 trailers that were revealed (The one that starts with LI Mei dying in the lava stuff) you can see that the destroyed things such as wood and others magicly dissapear.

I wonder if they are planing to keep that. I hope not.

I'm hoping they'll just fade away rather than just vanish but it's not really that a big a problem is it?

It looks ok to me.

I don't have a problem with objects disappearing. The game is called Mortal Kombat, not Mortal Debri.

The reason why objects disappear in games is because they take up space memory-wise. Say if you destroyed so many things on a stage and they never disappeared, the system would become cluttered with objects causing the game to freeze up. I'd prefer they disappear, though it would be better if they didn't. But it's not a big problem that they do.

Yeah but debris makes it fun. Just think, your opponent comes at you with the stage weapon. What do you do? Pick up a sharp object or a 2 by 4 piece of wood! lol

who is really going to pay attention to the debris during a fight...

how about to make ya feel better they have dwarf janitors with brooms come out during the fight and sweep it up so it will not offend you.

Mr. Silvers did his homework and the rest of you didn't. If you've all been following lately, the latest Gamespot E3 stuff clearly says some of the debris will become stage weapons.

Well I don't mind them disappearing though the way they disappear is what matters. I hope it's a fade out, as in the objects slowly turn transparent until they are completely gone.

yeah if they faded away that would be alright
with the new systems i dont think leaving broken bits and pieces would be a big deal could easily be done without it having an effect on the speed etc of the game

This thing's going to be online. They need to conserve memory as much as they can. If a vanishing 2X4 is what keeps my matches from lagging then more power to them.

With the PS2 not being the fastest console at the moment. I hope they disappear but slowly. Maybe if they make a MK on the next set of consoles it will have objects that won't disappear.

That was so funny I forgot to laugh.

Anyway, I dont mind them fading away like they did in MKDA; thats cool, but the stuff we have seen just dissapears, thats what I didnt like.

But Im not saying its a big deal anyway, the game looks awesome.

That's what disk caching is for. I'm sorry but it is neccissary that they don't disappear!

One of the Xbox hard drives main functions is keeping hold of short term events and keeping them on screen (eg, in Halo, gunshots and dead enemies stay there for as long as you are playing). So why not flaunt it?

i really agree with you there dude... if they can do it with Halo, why not with MK Deception...
the xbox has the power to handle it so the xbox one should have them staying and not disappearing, if the ps2 cant handle it, then they should slowly fade away (just like it is in 1 of the traliers)
