You know, tap forward a couple times and you dash a little. I couldn't stand that DA didn't. It's strange that a 3d fighting game doesn't have one.
Welcome to mkoline CharlieScorpion and deception will have it.I don't want you getting in any trouble so read this.

There's a lot of things that aren't in MK that make it strange for a 3D fighter gameplay wise, unfortunately Boon + Co aren't big on gameplay, which for a 3D fighter isn't the way to go.

Its been said that MK: Deception moves faster than MK: DA without the use of a dash or run button. The kombat in Deception will be faster.

at first i thought this thread was about the 'run' button in previous MKs
I've said it before and I'll say it again, unless the engine is tweaked, idt the run feature will work, because it'll be like all projectiles/specials and move as if in a 2D plane... can you imagine people running back and forth at eachother and always missing? painful

That's not really a fair statement. To say they're not big on gameplay? DA was a pretty damn big step in the gameplay department from previous MK games. Sure, it's not a Virtua Fighter, but it can hold its own with Tekken (which is horribly overrated in terms of gameplay). And it's better than a lot of other fighters out there. It's not like DA is unplayable, it's just different. But I've had more fun with MKDA than I did with Soul Calibur 2 or Tekken 4, which to me have kind of a soulless feel to them.

I't like he's in my head or something! I 've been trying to figure out why Tekken and SC never really kept me coming back.

I also think that is a unfair statement considering you didn't even do half of what you were able to in MK3/UMK3/MKT. I mean, you didn't even know there was a juggle system, that doesn't say much about you testing the game out fully.
MK has always improved upon each MK game. Even MK4, I let them slide considering they had to make the jump to 3-D, and get used to it. It's not easy, and Capcom had a hard time also. Hell, Capcom gave up after their first 3-D game where the MK Team did not. Anyways, as for the topic. I hope they have a dash of some sort. I would prefer though a run feature since it let's you juggle much better.
