i said this before in the wishlist chat but give me your opinions on having a 2nd disc, would you pay more for two just so the game would have more space thus more gruesome mortal kombat fun! or would you disagree with having the extra disc and just go with one and hope they can get as much stuff on the one.

I think a second disc would be more of a hinderance. If they didn't have enough content to fill the second disc, we'd have to wait longer so they could produce it, and swapping out discs every time you want a certain feature would be annoying as hell. I wouldn't mind if the second disc was a bonus though, like a soundtrack of the battle music, or a DVD documentary of the game's development.

i think its a bad idea. what if u dont unlock the code to use the 2nd disc like u said in the wish list.

i was saying that the codes would only be for the fmv endings, there could be other extra material on the disc that you could get right off the bat but the endings you'd have to work for.

oh i thought u ment the 2nd disc for all endings.
I would if it comes with the game.
I dont want to wait to get the 2nd disc alone wast my time.
I would get it if its a MK music or a Sneak Peek of the NExt movie or some shi# like that. whoa dang, i almost said shi2

I don't think the game itself would be too big to shoehorn into one disk. The MK team knows what they're working with, and what the current generation of systems is capable of. It's not like PS1 when games could have up to 4 discs or more. I think those days are in the past.
Now the extra content DVD on the other hand: That's is a great idea!! I could think of a million things I'd want on a disc like that.
1) The original MK game
2) Making of the game documentary (as someone already said)
3) Photo gallery
4) Chronological outline of the story
5) Video of characters, moves etc that were cut from the game
6) Teaser preview of MK7
7) Interviews with the MK team etc etc
Although I gotta be honest, a lot of what I mentioned was on one disc in MK:DA. So I'm not sure you'd really need a second disc.

baraka, thats mostly what i want as a second disc if theres one... although... how about this kombat kollection thingy as the second disk? u get it free if you preorder it but have to pay a bit extra if u buy it in stores (think legend of zelda wind waker/ocarina of time/master quest)

Thats exactly the kind of stuff a second disc would contain. Not data for the main game. The game will fit on one disc. Spreading it over two discs would be a hindrance.
The second disc could also contain maybe a Fatality demo for the previous games. And a complete story for each MK character in existence.

I they need the space to put the game on one and some videos and stuff on the other then they'll do it i suppose. I don't think the actual disc costs that much to the manufacturer (about 50p or something). - you mostly pay for the cost of the development, marketing, and a relatively small royalty to the console manufacturer.
