This is an idea I've proposed in many threads, and I want to see if we can get a larger perspective on this.

From what I can tell, it appears Sektor is going through a god-complex right now. I still don't believe he ever retrieved his soul, but has developed an artificial intelligence which has evolved into a sort of generic imitation of a spirit. I think that's what makes Sektor my favorite villain. He's true evil. Humans have to sever their good nature to be such, but Sektor is a hollow shell, which couldn't fill itself with a soul, so it took in dark ambition and greed.

Now, no soul does not mean no will. I do believe he has a seperate will of his own. It's how he became the leader of the newest threat of MK. He even showed suspicion of Cyrax in the past. So since he is a leader, should he be dressed like one? Some say a cyborg would look kind of goofy in headmaster robes, but if it were done right, I think it would look badass.

I mean, he shouldn't go around naked and strutting his stuff, right?

When the Lin Kuei came up with the idea for Grand Master I don't think they ever intended for the Grand Master not to be human.

Ah Sektor, my all-time favourite.

I would not have a problem with him remaining a souless assasin, even a souless programmable bodyguard.

Nevertheless you also made this new storyline sound fairly cool.

For some reason you gave me visions of "Skeletor" from "He-Man". As stupid as that sounds I think that Skeletor might have had a robe or hood, covering his skeletal face? I don't remember really, so long ago.

Whatever look he is given I'd like him to have a 3D MK3 look at the very least as an alternative, if for no other reason than sentimental value.

Well, I'm almost positive Sektor would have a radically different outfit than the one the Lin Kuei Grandmaster wore. A headdress would probably look a tad different on a cyborg, if Sektor decided to even go that route. For some reason, I can only imagine Sektor with completely revamped armor plating.

Sektor, a big fav of mine, too bad he was never that good in the games (never played Gold thoughsad so I cant rate him for that game.) But still has a good story and great look. And I believe that a grandmaster outfit of some description would be perfect for him. But instead of traditional robes, maybe he could have a major upgrade in terms of look - too make him look like the leader he is. If youve see Megatron turn into Galvatron in Tranformers you know what I mean. He could (and probably will) have a 'leader' look, cus he's got the Tekunin under his control. I can't wait to use him, as I've got a feeling he is gonna be sick in Deception. Hopefully he wont be anything like Cyrax in DA, and should have cool fatalities and good moves/combos to match his new upgraded cybernetic look...

I'm not into the idea of a cyborg wearing cloths. For some reason I just can't picture Sektor putting on cloths to show his power off, only a human would do that.

Now if he could have some special armor plates and special head unlike the rest of his clan, then I'm all for that. Cause I could definitely picture Sektor getting upgraded so all of his Sektor clones know who is the main machine out of them.

I fully agree with ya CMETH...I can see him tearing it up with some wicked new plates perhaps a few spikes and larger, slightly exposed weaponry...phew, this makes me really wanna draw this up...My web-comic is gonna have to be delayed because this has inspired me ^_~*might I add I had the weirdest dream the other night of Sektor singing R-Kelly's "Ignition Remix"* O_o

Sektor would look like an idiot in a Grandmaster outfit.

The dev team should just make his cyborg look really badass

He doesnt need actual clothes...I mean come on...he's a robot

Actually, I've been working on a "Deception Sketor" drawing for the past week. I'm gonna submit it to the art section in the next week or so. Be on the look out for it.

I think that it may look great or like SHIT depending on how sektor looks.
If he looks like cyrax in MKDA then NO ROBE! it would look really stupid
But if he looks humanoid or at least kind of biologilcal (kind of like JAX007's sektor face< or Yoshimitzu) it may look cool... although only as a 2nd outfit

As long as they get rid of the stupid cyborg design that Cyrax had in MK:DA, I'll be cool with it. I mean, c'mon! The dude looked like a reject from the He-Man cartoons.

As for how Sektor should look, upgraded armor is definitely a good idea, but it should be both unique and functional. Nothing like the original Grandmaster in MK:Mythologies.

Frankly, I'd like to see an upgraded version of his MKGold look. It was so perfect for the cyberninja, and actually looked believable.

What I think Sektor needs is a serious upgrade to his current look. Dressing him in new clothes would make him look awkward. He knows he is not human. The logical thing for him to do would be to give himself a better aura of power and superiority.

I can picture him making alterations and extensions to his armour padding, for example a longer loincloth and additional shoulder pads. He could add the Tekunin symbol onto his (revamped, more hi-tech) chest somewhere. I can also see him lengthening the padding on his shins up to mid-thigh length, perhaps having it jut upwards from the kneecaps.

Also, I can also see him no longer using chest-mounted weapons, but rather, he would give his arms some serious upgrading. Flamethrowers and tazers from the wrists, rocket launchers from the forearms, even interchangeable hands which could produce new weapons from inside the arm (buzzsaws, laser blades, etc.).

Sektor in clothes would be hughly amusing! He won't wear some Grandmaster outfit. He'll just have some armour upgrade along with a mask upgrade. I think the Dragon Medallion, if he got ahold of it, would morph his costume into something more fitting for him.

I don't really think it'd be a bad idea as long as it wasn't going overboard.

I did a really quick koncept sketch (it's even on notebook paper, jeez). The first is Sektor with a more regal, samurai-type helmet (which IMO shows authority w/o looking too goofy like a head-dress)

the second is a koncept for an alternate look, similar to Cyrax's in DA where it shows his human head... i wanted to do something cool (maybe like a top-knot to go with the samurai vibe) with his wire/dreads but i couldn't draw it well enough. Tell me what you think (keep in mind they were done extremely fast though)

I wouldn't want to see him in robes, but if his own armor was modified to symbolize that he's in charge, it's good for me. It's hard for me to imagine him wearing clothes, especially since I can only think of the ones that the Grandmaster wore in Mythologies.

I actually wouldn't even mind robes, but only if he were more human than cyborg...which could never happen, so it's kind of pointless discussion.

Sektor in headress?
Sounds like a recipe for an Optimus Prime look to me. But it could turn out alright when i think about it.

I dunno, either way, i hope his general look gets a sprucing up in Deception, because his mk3 look is alright, but it could be a hell of a lot better.

Now you took the words right out of my mouth, Wanderer - we're even grin. Actually I should mention tgrant and Jerrod, too, since they had the same idea (apologies to anyone I failed to mention). Assuming that the Tekunin soldiers look just like the original Sektor (I don't know, honestly), I picture Sektor in red and black armor, with the Tekunin logo, blah blah blah... I don't really know - I just don't think a cape or a headdress would suit a cyborg. An armor modification just seems more...logical...

this is exactly what im thinking, he could have maybe his little predator tentacle hairlike things in a ponytail and they could be longer. his helmet could have a little plate going down from his chin that resmebled a beard or something about 2 inches long. he could have big shoulderpads, kneepads, elbowpads, and others. he could also have a longer, segmented loincloth and maybe some type of small cape or something, but that would be it

I think that sektor should stay as he is, well from like mkgold.also i imagion his clan working more like the borg, the rest are pretty much drones all networked to the leader, sektor.
