think about it,before it was easy because it was 2D,making a 3D game with digitized actors would have seen impossible before but now with the 360 degree technics we have seen on the matrix and such films, wouldnt it bee a good idea to try it again ;)

i love to see sonya again..........err whats her name (somebody help me on this one) she looked so sweet :*)

anyways,a really big production on this would bring games more closer to reality and get away from the cartoony looks they sometimes suffer from

good idea or bad? ;)

LOL. I think U mean Kerry Hoskins, the hot chick who played Sonya in Mk3 right?

And Im not sure about this, I mean, its cool and all, and it was exelent for Mk in 2-D days! But these actors have to be like....more then OUTSTANDING fighters!

I think that it's not really necessary for there to be digitized actors to do motion capture for characters for MK6. Though, I'm not exactly saying your idea is a bad one.

well, if you want digitized actors in video games once more...... someone's bound to do it someday:
1. get mugen.
2. get a web cam.
3. record yourself.
4. then you can make your own "mk6"

i think we can make a projet out of this, guys can donate chars that are realy themselfs in cos-play and send them to here. maybe a mod can help us out or somthing, "projet: mk-fandomonim" what do you think?

He was talking about digitized actors for MK6. As in, Mortal Kombat 6. Not your little project.
Anyway, I think this would be actually pretty cool. I liked the old MKs because the characters looked more realistic, and they didn't look so cartoony.
Yeah it would be an awsome idea.

You wish.
I disagree completely.
I prefer all the artistic effort etc. that goes into the actual modelling.
Especially now that it's getting better and better, with technological progress etc.

Obviously, motion capture for the animation I think is a good idea, but I prefer to see the artist's creativity in the actual model.

i think they should continue using 3d models, but strive to be as photo-realistic as possible. They should model each character on a real person as accurately as possible, and ideally get that person to do some if not all of the motion capture for their character as well, since the way people move depends a lot on their size, strength and gender.

The real people could act in their cut-scenes as well. (on a blue-screen or something)

A lot of the appeal of the original games was that the characters looked like real people, where other games were all cartoony.
